Don't you think the poll is a little unnecessary? I don't see the point of it, academy's a good map, you should appreciate it rather than trying to find maps that outdo it and making polls about how much better it is than v3.

hehe, looks like virute has some fans on here, in the most respective way i wouldn't say he's the best mapper in the community... one oif the best, but there are a fews better (Not many, granted.)

To be honest i looked at the pictures and realized that it is a amazing map but virtue has to be the best map builder ive seen in any video game. The academy v3 is the best map ive ever seen hands down and thats tough to say ive got quite the collection of battlefreont 1 maps most are really sweet. hear that virtue your maps are number one on my list ! |

I don't like it that much, it doesn't seem to be built rather FPS friendly.
For example: on v3 i never drop below 120fps what so ever. And on the enclave there are some rooms which drop me to 90. Not that big deal, but I wonder how slower compys can handle that. I like some of the ideas, but sometimes the stairs are so small that you rather 'fall' down then running them down, etc. Anyways, it's a cool map anyhow and I have no skill whatsoever in mapping, so I am one of the least who may give critism. But when we compare it to v3... v3 wins. This is one of about 80 different enclaves out there. It seems anyone who does any mapping has tried their hand at the enclave at one point or another. This one is pretty good, but I've seen better enclaves. I still prefer the Academy V3. |

The first screenshot looks like it came from academyv2  ....well just the pillars gives it that look I guess.

Heheh, the guy actually came to me for mapping advice while he was building it. His courtyard and a bunch of other rooms on the map look suspiciously like mine, but I take that as a compliment. 
Pretty good map, however if you know me, you'd know that I'm not a particular fan of boxy, square-edged shapes and architecture. Playability on the map is really good though. - Virtue.  _______________ Academy Architect |

Virtue taught this guy how to do most of the stuff on that map...and the courtyard is a almost a direct rip off from Virtues...so AcademyV3>Enclave...
