i had a look today at the current members of today and when i went to there profile i was very surprised at the number of people that have signed up and have still not made a single comment at all like people from 2005, it makes this place look packed full of people when there is probably only 20 people that are active enough to post a comment once a month.
is there a time when you could just decide that a person has just not tried to become active and just abandoned there account so it could be deleted. _______________ Peace is a lie, there is only passion. I would come back, but nobody is there when I'm on (West Coast USA)it's a ghost town.
Sometimes I'll walk around anyway, with nobody there, hoping someone will join but I guess it's just not a west coast thing. 
But maybe there are a few jedi out there

They do an inactivity sweep every now and then. They see who hasn't logged on and/or posted.

I remember when I first joined, servers always full back in the V2 days.
Loved it, but people have to remember that RL things ALWAYS come before TJA and other online things. My excuse for not being round is College and a new job plus my preparations for Uni.

i was talking about how many people actually have accounts but have abandoned them, not just in game activity, there are thousands of students at the jedi academy and atleast 95% are abandoned and forgotten about. _______________ Peace is a lie, there is only passion. I don't know what timeframe it is, but there are a very large amount of people who visit this site and its forums - just not the servers, either because they don't play anymore, they are too busy, the servers have problems, they are too afraid to be the first to join, or they have little interest in playing on them anymore. |

That's always happened, for many, many years. Sometimes they don't realise that they were accepted, they forget about the place or they return later on and become active, or they do play a few times and get busy in real life. There are a lot of reasons people may make an account that never becomes active. The amount of existing accounts does not necessarily reflect their activity. You can see this on the about page.
There are occasionally inactivity checks to deactivate accounts that haven't been used for a long time. This comment was edited by Setementor on Jun 08 2008 11:07am. |
