Sorry for posting this In the wrong section, but no one reads the other ones very often. This question is for any people who one jailbroken iPhones. I kind of screwed my iPhone installing MyWi. I don't know how it happened, but now I can't install/uninstall anything from Cydia. I tried deleting mywi with cydelete, but that didn't park either. So I ssh'ed and went to dynamic libraries. I deleted the mywi dylib and plist and restarted. It disappeared from my iPhone, but still showed up in Cydia. Its like buying an expensive car. When you get it, its stock, exactly the way it was when you bought it. But you don't like it that way. You want it to be just the way you like it. So you do some modifications. The more you do, the better it gets, and the farther away from stock it becomes. Jailbreaking (if not used for piracy) is 100% legal. If you disagree, name one thing illegal about jailbreaking a phone YOU bought with YOUR money. Jailbreaking, while apple cannot stop you is very much frowned upon. Tell us truthfully your not installing apps without paying for them ??? exactly, Just because they wont do anything about it doesn't mean it isnt looked down upon ( mike is a scumbag anyway but i love him so ) The whole i payed for it is crap, i payed for dvd's dont mean i can copy them and give them my friends. You dont own the app store or itunes when you buy the physical piece of hardware and with cydia you are essentially bypassing the legal ways to buy products from apple and many young developers that make the cool little apps for what?? $1?? Although it's not strictly illegal, I think jailbreaking falls under the rules (Discussing warez, or distributing it, is strictly forbidden.)
With that said, restore your iPhone via iTunes and don't do stuff unless you actually know what you're dong. |
