I had a great time in the JA, but unfortunately I can not no longer play Jedi Outcast. I wanted to uninstall the game because they were some config problems, but when I started the setup, an error came up: "An installation support file could not be installed, the paramet is incorrect. Well, I basically screwed myself over, and I no longer can play Jedi Outcast. I have tried everything possible to correct it but it does not seem to work. Well, I guess this is good bye. I would like to thank all the Trainers and Knights for their patience with me in classes. I would like to give some special thanks to Arcuss, Dark Blade, ShadowSith, Jacen Solo, Kage, and Carve for their support and friendship. i had the same problem but i reformatted my hard drive and it was able to install and it ran much smoother aswell to my suprise! so there is hope.....maybe. _______________ if you're in a fair fight, you didn't plan it properly |

perhaps you need to do what every gamer should do every couple of months....format your hard drive and reinstall Everything...it may take a day or so, but its' worth it, your computer will be faster and there won't be so much crap taking up your drive. from then on just install jk2 and there should be no problems whatsoever.. _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos. The problem is that I already uninstalled the game, I got the error while running the setup, I have managed to burn a cd exactly like the original, it was hard because I had to edit some files on my original cd (iso) and then burn them. the copy does not work on my computer, so it means my computer is messed up. Hopefully my dad will let me install JO on his computer, then i'm back in buisness  _______________ Anger is a condition in which the tongue works faster than the mind |

Hmm. I'd try uninstalling the game, manually removing the JO folder from your Program Files folder (backup your PK3's ) and try reinstalling. When exactly do you get this error? _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

I got an idea, the setup won't run but the gamedata is still there, but if I copy it, I will have JO, but at 1.0, so I need it to be at 1.04, but the updater does not recognize it because I did not install properly. So, the only way would be to either, crack it somehow or to manually install 1.04, which I do not know how to do, does anyone know what 1.04 modifies, if so, maybe someone could send me those files? _______________ Anger is a condition in which the tongue works faster than the mind This comment was edited by Aryion on Apr 18 2003 07:26pm. |
