This is the list of tourney applicants. Everyone on this list is guaranteed a spot. Otherwise, you can be named a sub. SilkMonkey's Special Tournament Surprise Award GET CRACKING FOLKS!  Edit: Prom is May 24th actually. So I'm thinking if we have the prom mid day or evening, then we could do the tourney before. I'm thinking we could have "warm-up" matches to start things off and then have the tourney on friday and saturday. I propose we use the class server and the NL one for those with ping issues. For fixtures, I recommend jsut putting all the names in a hat, then drawing them at random. Make up a table with all the players, semi finals, quarter finals, final, all set out. Thats whats most commonly used, and hey why argue with what works Best of 5.....Hmmmm. Some may argue that this isn't enough as 3 wins could still be considered fluke. Praps make it best of 7 ?(first to 4). I can understand you wanting to keep it low, becasue of the sheer amount of contestants. Is it going to be one room, taking turns ? Or multiple rooms to speed things up ? I reckon multiples might better. As then those who are not fithing for a while, can wait in IRC or something, and when needed, called into the server. This would keep the amount of people in the serve low, and thus, low pings So that'd be 2 sets of duelers, plus a referee for each fight, 6. You're in charge though and running the show, don't tihnk this is my attempt to take over as I've admined duel tournaments before and it gets damn confusing if you havn't got a set plan written out before, I just wanna make sure this runs smoothly by giving my input for you to consider _______________ Apprenctice of Jedi Master Ascari (deceased) Descended from a line of great Jedi Will argue any point of view from any side

Fear, I sense in you. Do not be afraid, Vaughn. I sense that ShadowSith will not be able to win this tournament. Why? Because I am fighting. Actually, I'm pretty sure I won't win. But, who cares who wins? Winning isn't that important. It's all in good fun. I signed up to have a good time and improve my dueling abilities, not to win. Well, I'm looking to prove victorious, but it wouldn't kill me if I am defeated. And, judging by the competition, this tournament is going to be difficult to win. |
