I'm trying to give notice: there will be a meeting of Holocron staff [edit: NEXT, _not_] this coming Saturday (EST). I'm planning on having it in the morning, and want input on the time that works best. Put your times in as GMT, please. A few things: 1. I'd like as many of you to be there as possible. It's not limited to 3-4 people...so I'd like more than that to be there. Bubu, that means you.  If any of you need me to call you for a reminder...forget it. I ain't your mom. =D2. The purpose of the meeting is to get a good determination of where we are at with the Holocron, and see how much more we have to do prior to release. I'd like to set some benchmarks and a final release date at this meeting. 3. Everyone please read and edit what has been so far distributed for secondary editing and give them back to the respective authors for cleanup. 4. Those working on your sections: try to tie up some loose ends and come in to the project meeting with a good idea of what else needs to be accomplished so we can shift staff resources to you as necessary. 5. Meeting agenda will be held in the order in which the Holocron is constructed. If you need to know the order, contact MindofSin. Anybody wanting to submit potential agenda items, post them here. underhill - np. We'll copy the text which YOU ( ) or niten will have to edit. Niten, I'll explain this all to you later. Icco -  Bubu - Presentation...ah, just a good, succinct, and to the point description of 1) what you've been doing; 2) what you have done; 3) what you need help with; 4) ideas for your section you'd like to put forth to the rest of the staff for discussion. That's it. A presentation. I'd just like everyone to think about your stuff well before the meeting, outline your thoughts, and then type up something about each one of those 4 points which you can then copy/paste when I get to you during the meeting. Since yer gonna be one of the first, yer feet are to the fire! Jake - thanks, dude. I just get a little concerned about how I'm being perceived sometimes. I want this to be successful, but I don't wanna step on a bunch of toes. So, again, thanks. B-Billy - look at what I told Bubu, and put something together. And I went out the night before. So Icco, stuff it. Now somebody else will have to get up early .underhill - _You_ are the problem, buddy! You and your ridiculous timezone... Mune - If yer helpin, yer part of it. Cya then. Aeth - following Saturday ok? DJ - You're more than welcome to come, and I'd definitely like to talk about Holocron integration. EVERYONE: I'd like to try some things at this meeting. 1. Last one was quite long because there were a lot of questions about _what_ the Holocron was, _what_ we were doing, things like that. Considering the fact that we've been working on this for a while now, I wouldn't expect to see any of these. If anyone _does_ have more basic questions, please ask them on the forum. 2. Please come prepared to discuss things as succinctly as possible. For example, the section leaders might want to write prepared initial remarks. Write 'em in wordpad and cut and paste into the discussion. 3. I'd like to see if we could get two discussions going at once. Wait, hold on. I know. Hear me out: there's a lot of very minor questions that come up here and there that are directed at one individual or another, and don't necessarily pertain to the rest of the group. (I'll explain in a sec.) I'd like to be online with irc as the main discussion, and have hotmail IM running for minor questions. For example, if someone wants to ask me...oh, geez I don't know...pick a little question you may have...I'd rather have that person ask me via IM instead of crowding the irc. I - or whoever it pertains to - can answer that question directly and simply, and we don't have others chiming in on a subject that is off the minor topic. If we _do not_ stay on the agenda directly, this is going to be a very long meeting...and no one, including me, wants that. 4. Let's try to be as professional as possible when we're on irc so we have fewer emotes and funny comments. Notice I didn't say NONE of these, b/c heck, I'll probably accidently fire one off myself. The point is, tho, that people stick to what's on the agenda as reasonably possible.5. Bubu has no excuse for not being there. (Just kidding, Bubee! You know I love you!) 6. As I said, I'm gonna screw up too. 7. Moving on: I'm going to run this in a kind of mediator fashion. Those of you who were at the first meeting know how I do it. I'd like to have the floor and give it up to section leaders for their "presentation" if you will, and then ask for comments. You'll probably notice that I'll be trying to keep a tight reign on things. You'll see me posting A LOT. This is not because I'm on a power trip...I just know from experience (like last time) that we can very easily waste a lot of time and spin our wheels going nowhere. I'm only attempting to direct each discussion to a successful conclusion. Everyone will be allowed to freely speak, naturally. No one's coming in here muffled, sheesh. But just be aware that when I seem to be pushing things along, it's not because I don't think you have any good points. First, they may just not be directly related to exactly what we're talking about; second...uh, I might have missed it. Moderating something like this is quite a challenge, so please bear with me. If you want to contact me more directly, do it via hotmail IM. While waiting for an IRC response, I'll have time to talk to you personally then. Ok.
