I'm curious as to see what happens here, when we change over, will the jats stay jats and just learn the new game or will we all get bumped down to students no one with any privellages, and then while the jacs prepare a trial, and those of us good at the new game take the trial and take jat. I think that the JAKS and JATS should stay. For in all likeliness if you were good at jk2 your gonna be good at jk:jo. Basically the same game with more stuff. I don't think that luke is suddenly going to be a noob because of the new game. Just a thought, some people are talking about judging it on playing skill to decide the new ranks quickly, and thus everyone should start over. But how do you grade that? I'm sure most people here will say "well if they are a l337 dueler, make em a JAT" thats just silly I for one am not gonna specialise, just like JKII. I kinda think in a way, all players under the council should start over. The players with skills will definitely rise quickly to the top. But then my common sense sinks in and says, HEY.. THESE PEOPLE ROCK!!!!! With skill, knowledge, patience, and friendship they have paved the way for all of us and made their journey to where they now sit. They definitely deserve to stay where they are and I'm sure it won't be long with their resolve before they all climb right back into the roles of where they are. Just a thought about what was said much much earlier. Someone said that the whole site and servers and that would be converted from JO to JA. But I think it'd be a good idea to have a list somewhere in the site that has all of the members of the JA, and your name ticked off if you have the game. So when everyone has the game, the whole site could be converted. Also, it would be good for ppl who want to know who else has the game. |

Tentatively, we are going to move some existing JAKs/JATs to JA just so we keep the structure intact. Rest assured, the management is aware of the fact that we are going to have to adapt. We're working on it right now. The goal is obviously to have it go as smooth as possible. As far as JATs and JAKs and whatnot go: I think we're going to need new JAKs/JATs to 'specialise' in games. It seems to me that having a JAT specialise in one type of saber fighting would be beneficial. Apparently, JA is really different from JO. If it is different, people need to be retrialed for the demand, the skills to be mastered, have changed. I do see there's going to be a orgisational problem with trialling, but for now, let's only make a statement on the theory. I guess the students will just have to learn their moves from a JAT wich uses the same saber (just like your master should have the same force side).Unless for example there are no JATs that use 2 sabers (very unlikely) the JATs should think about learning to use all sabertypes. |
