Okay about time I edited this thread after 1/2 year of life. Can you imagine SW if there was only the Dark or the Light side??? It would *definitely* _STINK_! However, which is more powerful? I think it's the Dark Side: => More Jedi fall to the d/s than Sith/Dark Jedi go to the l/s (MANY more) => Look at the duels (in the movies). You see the Sith being calm (prolly fighting more than one Jedi) and the Jedi being ready to shit on themselves  => The d/s force powers are offensive (used to kill  ) whereas the l/s force powers are defensive. And we all know the best defense is offense  => NORMALLY, when some Jedi fights a Sith the Sith has the Force Power advantage. Not many Jedi can absorb D/S Force Powers. They must be really trained, and that's unusual. OK Yoda is the force beast (I mean he handles the force like no-one else can, hmm, maybe like Palpatine, just maybe, but prolly a bit more) so he was really cool defending against Dooku's force powers. But, see, Dooku was less trained than Yoda in the Force and still he could attack him alright without losing (lightsaber fight is something else, not concerning the Force Sides). So as you can see less trained D/Sers can beat the hell outta a Jedi using the force alone  (don't include Yoda eh)=> And well, after seeing the movies, haven't you noticed how much cooler the Sith are than the Jedi?  ******BTW: Who wants to see a Yoda VS Palpatine fight on ep3!!!???****** _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. I tend to think of the dark side as the whiney teenager side of life. that point in someones life where they hate their classmates, parents, and pretty much everyone just because its that teenage angst phase. I tend to think of the light side as more of a sign of maturity. where someone takes the troubles of life with stride. honestly i not a big fan of the whole light/dark side thing. you cant just lump emotions into two catogories. but then again i dont know much indepth knowledge in the force. i just play the damn game. _______________ "We keep odd hours...." ----------------------- They Live, We Sleep |

just wana bring this up, dont know why, just seemed interesting; Light Jedi's are not aloud to love, if they do, then As Yoda Said: "Love leads to Sadness, Sadness Leads to Anger, Anger Leades to Hate, Hate...leads to suffering." er...something like that. But Isn't love supposed to be a Light Kinda sorta thing. So if a Jedi Doesnt Love, can they really be Considered..."good", (maybe i should rephrase that, oh well) And Of course Siths arn't gona love...they're too fillede with darkness. Apologetic ,Dark Jedi and Jedi are both different. For instance the Sith only seek power for themselves and to destroy all that are in there way And the Jedi live by the jedi code and protect others and the republic. In my opinion there is now specific power assiciated with a "side" of the force. The Light Side and the Dark Side are and should be a matter of which disipline a Jedi/Sith takes. Being a Jedi and stking someone down in anger or comiting evil deeds or commiting evil deeds in the name of good would make a person Dark Side. -Ender-  |

Ok, ok, let's settle this. Darkside:Can be used through anger and hatred. Lightside:Used by being calm and clear. Sum: ANYONE can hate or be mad, but it takes someone with real power to be calm and clear. Darkside:you can get real strong real fast Lightsight: takes a while to get strong Sum: Ever fight someone in real life who was a hot head? sure the punches hurt, but they aren't really using their heads, their using their emotions. If you can fight calm you can think things through. Personally i think light side is better.
