Lately I've noticed a lot fewer applicants coming in then I'm used to seeing. I'm used to getting like a dozen or 2 a day, but now we get about 5. I know we're a little corner of the JK2 community. What do you guys and girls think is the best way to get this place known around there? If you like this place then tell your friends, but I'd prefer to avoid spamming forums, the Zone, etc. Post your thoughts!  _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

Nah Jake, he did what he always does. He goes and makes a new yahoo address applies with it and gets in. The only reason he's able to do it is because he's on dial up. Same with his brother blade. If you look at the ID its about the newest profile. Blade and him have had the following names used and Banned: spawn respawn blue ninja zerogold blad jedi_wing sanoske reborn warrior sora These are just the ones I remember. well, I only can emphasise this again - it should be greatly encouraged to wear tags in public - and feel free to invite less and fair skilled guys to the JA.... maybe we could get together some more field/recruitment trip classes.... plus suggestion for the council: maybe you should include this in the FAQ or even in the welcome letter for new students.... Darkwood and I, and later Tallepyon too, got to a public server full of people with white names and such, a couple of people named padawan. Only problem is that they (or at least some of them, we might have gotten one or two) don't want 'clan recruitment'. |

hmm,...well,..most of the times i talk about the JA on public servers,..ppl think is a clan,..so,..they cant join here coz they r already in 1,...and i say,..no ,..the JA is not a clan,..and they say,....yeah right,....(of course i explain that am from here and all,..but just doesnt seem to convence them,...),...so,...maybe u should put on the web page (the main page) a little 'warning' or smthing that tell ppl that the JA is NOT a clan,...has many ('round 80persent of the time) thinks,....and that u can join ,.no matter if ur in 1 already,... _______________ '...its better to light a candle, than cursing the dark,...' -> 0_< |

recruitment trip over, after alot of server switching, duel challenges and questions, we emerge with 7 candidates who said they would like to join and would do. So all in all not bad, but I reckon 1 to 1 asking of people on publics in your spare time, something simple like "have you heard of the jedi academy ? fancy joining ?" pubs are fun in their own right, and i think it would be good for most players to do ffa, duels, guns etc on the pubs. there are some really good players out there, and i'm finding it can be more fun too! of course it doesn't have the same kind of spirit the JA does, but still, its worth exploring! i think a good idea would be a general suggestion to all members that if they see a new player on the pubs, they should be compelled to advise them to join the JA (as long as they seem of reasonable charactor lol) to take classes or learn in a friendly environment.. but hmm perhaps the game has reached its maturity.., i've noticed the lack of new players on the servers too.., oh well.., JK3 - bring it on! _______________ May the ping be with you |

Well Cloak, you want more oldbies on the servers? You maybe dont know what you're asking for. Having played this game for over a year, and been with the academy almost all the time is just way long. The oldbies already did their part, it is YOUR job to keep the serfer alives now. Be happy we visit at least the forum On the other hand about more JATs and JAKs, I completly agree. There are some things beeing discussed about more JATs/JAKs right now, but it will take some time. Patience. Well, I would like to do such a Recruitement tour...
