Everything should be kosher now.

Listen Vodoo. You can do whatever you wish to do. You can play the games you want to play. You can state your opinion freely as everyone else. But dont tell others to shut up. If you can't stand someone else opinion, you should better rethink your actions.

You were posting a quite rude comment about the beta which was obviously wrong and called everyone who did not share your (wrong) opinion a fool. All I did was correcting you, and warning the guys who are not fanatical towards this game and are open minded. If you dont to listen to that, just ignore it.
How can you judge a game you havent been playing at all yet anyway?

And about my "rude existance", if you have a problem with me, just come to me and we will see what I can do for you. But stay constructive, and use common sense. Calling everybody a fool wont lead you anywhere.

Edit: Lol, I'm silly. I didnt read properly, forget about it Voodoo ;) It's fine for me now :)

Vodo i don't like that attitude. Be careful. People here are having a normal discussion about a computer game. If you cannot handle people's criticism of this game, I suggest you go to another thread.

Thanks guys.

I think I'll just wait awhile. I didn't start playing JKii until the current patch was out. So I've never experienced this revamping process. I'm hopping if I wait long enough it could be the same for Galaxies. Besides it's not like starting sooner will allow me to be more powerful than other players. There is no way I can compete with the amount of time some people will be willing to dedicate to this game. So I'll be happy being a noob in a few months or a year. Hopefully my "big brothers and sisters" can show me the ropes when I finally join in the fun. I'm referring to those of you here at the Academy who will go before me into that Galaxy far, far away.

But keep me posted on how you like the game everyone =]

You can choose which planet and city on each planet to start in. There are tickets you can purchase for transports between cities on each planet and for trips between planets.

I just read somewhere that there will be an ingame tutorial for new players when you start off. It will be a chance to learn the basics with out worring about other players.

ioshee, there wont be any offline part at all. think there's not even an offline tutorial (and thats a pity)

about patches, they just suck. if the endcustomer pays not only the 50 bucks for the game, but also 15 bucks EVERY MONTH, they should do a hell of customer support, means not realeasing an unbalanced and unfinished game. and i have haered by far to many now that the release is too early. you know what will happen? they will beta test it with the endusers. while they're paying 15$ for it. well, thanks.

just look at jk2. they did a hell of saber-fight fixing in the beginning, and every patch was like a new game. sucks hu`h? imagine you become a rifle man who owns everybody, then a pacth is release and your rifle wont kill a womp rat? you've played some months to get there and now its worth a sh*t. sucks, huh?

Can you play offline and build a character then jump online? Or is it only online?

Sorry that's not really a question for Beta testers only I guess, just anyone who has read more about the game than me (that would be almost everyone.)

That's right Vodo, the problems people have been complaining about were in the Beta. And some of the still haven't been corrected yet. And there are only 3 days before release.

When you create a character, you choose Species, Apearance, Starting Proffesion and Starting Location (planet+city).
Not all planets can be chosen as starting location, for some don't have big cities. There is a Space/Shuttle port in each city, which can take you to any other planet/city. You do need some money though, the price differs per location. Travelling to the mayor planets like Corellia, Tatooine and Naboo is the cheapest and the remote planets like Endor and Lok are quite expensive.

you can join a server and create a character then pick a planet and city to start in i think.BTW all the problems the people where complaining about where in BETA,why because BETA's purpose is to find bugs!.give it a rest and keep it to yuorselves from now on.

Thanks. What do you mean by "Starting Planets"?

Does that mean that when you boot up the game you can choose where to start or when you make a character you have to choose where they live forever? Is there travel between these starting planets or will that not be until the space expansion comes out?

when you join in the game though Aeth you are able to take on two additional professions. For instance my character is a brawler marksman and medic. It only costs 100 credits and like two skill points to start up a new beginner profession so you could be a brawling musician.

Well Aeth, you can choose multiple proffesions.

You can only choose one starting proffession when you are creating your character, but once you are in the game, you can learn as many skills as you like, providing you have the skill points for them.
