Deadly[BOFH], founder of JediPLUS and OmniMOD, sends word of a little project of Santa*Smile' started what he calls the Jedi School, which will be for all members of the JK2 community.

Here is what Santa*Smile has to say about what will happen:
To the JK2 Community:

This may be what we're looking for to help get the community back on its feet. Anyone who wishes to can get involved, as a teacher or a student (hopefully experienced people as teachers.) -- BOFH (Spectrum)

Greetings, this document has been written after researching through the players and by my personal experience as an ex-leader and after having many padawan’s (over 20!). All that is written down here are serious projects that I consider important in order to save JK2 and help the clan as well.

-Clan Projects-
Chapter 1 – OmNi Clan School

-Community Projects-
Chapter 2 – Jedi School
Chapter 3 – JK2’s Community Rescue
Chapter 1 - OmNi Clan School

Like he said, this is for all who are interested and want to spark Jedi Outcast interest again. You can read the rest of his documentation/proposal

Good to see the academy works. :) I told Clan OMNI on thei rforums that I'd give advice on starting/running another academy, but so far haven't gotten a response.

It's true...when I've played publics, the guys with the high fragcounts were the DFA'ers.

But what I didn't mention was that when I get any of them one-on-one, they always lose ;)

The training that we do here really does make a huge difference.

Perhaps we should elect emergency powers to the Supreme Chancellor!!

It is with great reluctance I have agreed to this calling.
I love democracy, I love the Academy...

The power you give me, I will lay down when this crisis has abated.

...and as my first act, with this new authority, I will creat a grand army of the JA...to counter the increasing threats of the separatists.

I've played a lot of team FFA...and I can tell you what it looks like.

DFA
DFA
DFA

DFA

Now, a skilled Jedi can avoid a DFA that he sees coming. But the bottom line is, in a total FFA, it's almost always the DFA'ers who come out with the high frag count.

1 Academy? naw
2? not even close....
i've met up with members from all sorts of strange academy's that never really took off.

Someone had to take out the competition. ;) lol
As for that new school forming. I met up with clan OMNI, and spectrum himself.

I can't really say they have much to teach others, becuase i tried talking to the person in charge of that whole thing. Spectrum pointed me to someone named Santa Smile, whom is harder to find than big foot.

I also saw that at the time, spectrum seemed to be a lil busy training his padawan. lol
He seemed to be showing off a bit by showing the pad that he can take on 2 at a time and win.
He did beat up on the lil guys for a bit.
Even called up me, but not before i said he was underestimating us as all.

Once i beat em , and stopped his lil game, he decided to ignore any future duel challenges i made so that he wouldn't look bad in front of the wee paddy. lol :)

What did i receive in turn for a challenge?
A big overhead chop to me unarmed, a few slaps around the map, with a side dish of some good ol profanity. ;) His response was..."I pay for the server, so i will what i want. If you don't like it, leave."

I did just that, but not without making sure he knew exactly how he showed such a prime example of his clan and how it works. :P

This place has nothing to worry about when it comes to other schools. The Lucasforums JA is the closest thing to you guys, and i can't say i've seen much of them either. lol

I don't think they "stole" the idea, for one thing...

And number two, there is room in this world for more than one place of advanced Jedi learning ;)

If you read the entire thread, you'll see that myself and many other academy members and staff give full support to them.

"Sounds very much like the Jedi Academy. If anyone wants to join come on down...But also wishing you good luck as we do need to keep this community going"
~cHoSeN oNe

"As Leader of the Jedi Academy, my opinion of this is... rock on, more power to ya. The point of the Academy is to improve the community, but I understand that we only help in a small way since we aren't as prevalent in the community as a news post on the jk2.net main page. so it's always good to see people trying to continue improvements."
-massadoobie

"That sounds like a very cool idea. If you need any help getting it off the ground let me know. Running a school based on community support and volunteerism is a difficult thing to say the least."
-DJ Sith

So I'd say there are no hard feelings on this issue ;)

So there are two, not one, but two hmmm...

Seems like only a proposal but I'm interested to see what happens. IMHO it is good for the game if there where more active JO communities.
