I feel for ya Billy! I was just moments away from taking my journeyman when they dropped the points system. I think without the points system we've turned achievement into a popularity contest. Of course the points system had it's own popularity contest about it too. Had the points system been more efficient and truly maintained I think it would have worked. Now it's hard for new students to know who they can turn to for advice until they've been beaten to death by someone. I think we should have degrees rather than points. I had all my points for the Learner trial and was about to take it when they did away with the ranks I really liked the rankings alot, but it was, understandably, a big pain in the (insert body part here) for all the JATs. I actually managed to become learner, mostly using Freedon's computer since my 56k wouldn't work at all for jk2. Very difficult to get 20 classpoints that way, I often joined classes where i could do little more than lagging in a corner. I even managed to get my 20th class point to begin my journeyman trial, but that day the classpoint system was abolished. great.... _______________ Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam |
