Time to change the post a bit. Well, as some of you know this is the thread for the TFFA I organise once a week (if it can be done.) Check back at this thread often for new info about the times when we will play and what we'll play. Currently we are testing out a new gamemode that I came up with. Jedi vs Stormtroopers, most of the matches will be on the JASE server, so go to http://www.thejase.com and register for the forums. Then you can see the server IP and password. I'll post the rules. I'm not definate on all fo them. This is a try-out. Invasion of an Academy This is a game mode where the Stormtroopers must infiltrate and hold a jedi stronghold. There is one team captain for each side with special rights. Stormtrooper goal: Be in the most important room of the Jedi Stronghold with the captain-stormtrooper for at least 5 minutes. Jedi goal: Try to hold the outside area. If you control the outside area with the captain-jedi (that means no other stormtroopers there) for 5 minutes you win. For both the goals the following rules: If the team-captain is killed while holding the place of the goal, the time is reset, even if he respawns there again. The timer is going to tick from the moment you clear out your goal-room. It's therefore a good idea for the team captains to bind a message like: "Ceremonial room taken". Rules for weapons of the stormtroopers: Only the team-captain may use a rocket launcher and he is terminator For the other team members: Stun Baton, E-11, Repeater, Flechette, det pack, trip mines. No other weapons than these. Jedi: All must have the same force-side, and force pull may be used, but don't spam it to take all weapons, if you see someone left with a E-11 please stop. Otherwise the game will not be fun anymore Jedi-Captain is empowered but must also use only the side of the force that the others take Try and come up with names for your character that will encourage role-playing. This is not normal TFFA (it's played in this mode), this is a role-played battle simulation. It gets very real if everybody speaks in character. That's it, enjoy the game. Ok ppl. The stormies vs Jedi I came up with is gonna be tested in our next match. It's gonna be done on JASE server. This time, if anyone has trouble joining that server go to http://www.thejase.com and register for the forums so you can view the server details. And since you're there at that moment, maybe browse a bit on the forum for some extra cool classes that you can follow.
