(Q) Now, I hear there will be neat vehicles and such to ride or mount, other than the Taun Taun. Care to elaborate on some of them? (A) There are Taun Tauns and swoop bikes. The swoop racing level is a lot of fun, you can use your lightsaber as you race around the canyons being chased by enemies on their bikes. You can knock them off and steal their bikes too. (Q) Is it true that the concussion rifle made a comeback for this game and if it did, does it suck? (A) The Concussion Rifle is from Jedi Knight, correct? I didn't play that game, so I can't tell you if it sucks now or not, but it's a very powerful weapon you get from one of the new kind of Stormtroopers. (Q) How much variety is there in saber hilts? Any classic hilts from the films as well? (A) There are a lot of hilts, they each have individual names, like 'vindicator' and they're all pretty cool. I didn't recognisse any of them from the movie source books though. (Q) If you choose to have two lightsabers, do you have to option to put one of the aside and fight with one saber only? Or are you bound to always using two sabers, if that's your choice? (A) There is a regular single bladed lightsaber, dual lightsabers and a double bladed lightsaber. They all have their good points and bad points. Single Bladed lightsaber: You start the game with one of these, it's pretty good and I don't think it's been changed a lot since Jedi Outcast, and it works the same way, you start out with yellow stance and then you can pick another stance later on in the game. The single bladed lightsaber is the only one that can use all 3 stances. Dual lightsabers: I think the dual lightsabers are more of a defensive choice, because when I used them it was almost impossible for dark jedi to hit me. You get a lot of spin attack combos and much better blocking. Dual lightsabers use the yellow stance, you can turn one of them off but you will be restricted to blue stance. I think dual lightsabers had the most range. Double bladed Lightsber: This is the best I think. Double bladed lightsabers use the yellow stance when both blades are active and yellow stance when only one blade is active. If you use a double bladed lightsaber, you get access to a special kind of kick like Darth Maul's that you can do from the ground and in the air and in any direction you like, it replaces saber threow when both blades are active. The kick doesn't seem to do much damage, but it can knock your opponent down, then you can do a special attack where you leap on top of them and impale them on your lightsaber. It was essential to use the kick, because the double bladed lightsaber has poor blocking and every swing leaves you wide open for attack, I had dark jedi kill me with one hit!!! There is a spin attack you can do with the dual bladed lightsaber that had me worried, because it has a long range, it hits a lot of times and it does tons of damage. If it's the same in multiplayer it might be spammed like backstab. (Q) How much is kyle in the game and what does he do (A) Kyle joins you on a couple of missions, but he doesn't do much (Q) how were the dark jedi fights? they claim you'll be fighting upto six of them at any one time, i'm just wondering if they're fluid cinematic affairs, or just a button mashing frenzy. (A) No it's not at all, especially if you use speed for the jedi battles. A lot of the time you'll fight 2 dark jedi and one will use just force powers and one will use a lightsaber, with some of them using single, dual or double-bladed lightsabers, which adds variety to the battles. With all of the new combos and attacks, it looks very cinematic. A lot of the time you can't just hold down a button and run at them, some of the fights are quite tough. (Q) is the merr-sonn plx-2m portable missile system in jedi academy. (A) Yes. (Q) does the game have any fighting in the air. like in jedi outcast you had tie fighters vs xwings in artus_topside and yavin_canyon. (A) Well there's a mission where some TIE Bombers are attacking you, and a mission with a gun turret where you have to shoot down TIEs. There's a mission where a rail tram has been hijacked and you have to reach the front, the city whooshes by as you make your way towards the end, I think that was my favourite mission besides the swoop racing level. from jk2 forums _______________ What is the difference between love and Herpes? Awesome breakdown of Jedi Academy!!! I can't wait to play it. I loved the single player in Jedi Outcast.
