I've been looking at retired users profiles, and I've noticed that some of the has the title "Oldbie Council no. _". So I was getting a bit curious...what was the oldbie days like?  _______________ In the navy and LOVING it!

When I hear al these comments , I feel like an oldbie too. I had it all, rankings without points, classes with points, the great tournaments, the prom, the trials, ... massa ? remember the tripmines on the walls that supposted to be fireworks!! It was great !! It was a great time. I have to visit the academy more offen.... To all the oldbies who still know me... HI GUYS !!! I never attended a single class while there was a point system. Somehow they all managed to be placed at bad times while I was an initiate, but when we dumped the ranking-system, it all got solved magically. |

Indeed. A lot of people attended classes just to earn the points, in order to take their trials. Players who were very skillfull attended newbie classes, over and over. Respect for the teachings and trainers was lost too, since most people just hopped around a bit, waiting for it to be over. -A |

Not entirely sure, ask DJ. But I think it was because the people were taking classes just to get points and jump up through the ranks and not taking them to actually learn something. |
