I've seen people kick with all saber types, but I don't think you can control it. Anyways, you'll most likely be able to kick in all of them in MP, because they wouldnt limit that to just staff. If you think about it, there were no kicks at all in JK2 SP.

Everyone has to remember that what you've played in the demo is the SP version of the saber system... remember, there were two different systems in JK2, one to make the SP uber cool and winnable, the other to make the MP fair (relatively, i know everyone has their little problems)... so basically i wouldn't judge the game's MP controls (aka what we here at the JA care about) by looking at the game's SP controls.

Anyone can kick, the silly backflip kick is still in the game (not singleplayer, although you can still knock people down by jumping on heads :D)

"WHY" I hear you cry "is it like that, I heard only saber staff'ers could kick :("

Well this is true and it isn't. Saber staff lets you do a proper looking kick, which most of the time will knock your opponent over. The JKII style kick is still in, but its harder to spam, as when you flip off you move backwards quite a distance. Think you can still pwn with pull kick though :)

First impressions are pretty good, although I don't like the idea of seeing loads of glowing blades running about, it would of been better if they put a kind of points cost into each, so there won't be as many dual and double saber people (which isn't very jedi'ish :() Or made its so single is alrounder and good at force, double for dueling, dual for FFA.

I dunno, we'll see when it comes out what bugs have been missed which people exploit :D More people quit JKII within its first few months or after patches than towards its decline.

Aso, if you choose single saber you can use all styles. Just not in the demo. I'm 100% sure of this, and it will be same in MP too. So don't worry about that. I just completed the demo's with saber staff and duel sabers. The duel saber has a really powerfull move that will kill almost anything in the vicinity of you. The kicking with the saber staff works delicious but you gotta get used to it. I love the game, it's far more then I thought. I was thinking kinda expension pack like. But too much has changed, it's real different. The saber system feels very natural to me, I can do exactly with it what I want. I'm off now to test the single saber styles. Sorry for being so super-duper glad, but I honestly think this is the best game ever.

hmm im slightly disappointed by what i have seen so far... :(

The saber system is WAY to chaotic. Dual saber just plain sucks...

Why does dual saber have a single saber option?? :/ It has no advantages at all..

Single saber is ok, but way to slow, but it has a nice combo ;) Another bad thing: Single saber mode will only allow you to use one style (you can choose red, yellow, blue before the mission) :/

Bad thing is, you can only kick with dual saber option, which is in my opinion the coolest option, since it has far more moves than the others.

Some of the acrobatics have improved too. I like the run up to a wall move :)

Graphics have improved a bit, but arent much more than the JK2 graphics.

Lets just see how MP is ;)
I'm not sure wether im going to buy it or not yet, since i will probably not play it a lot anyway. We'll see ;)

highly unbalanced.
the lunge is faar to powerful, the DFAs are way better, but have to be aimed precisely , otherwise do no dmg at all.
the rolling stab kicks butt.

the kataas kick butt too, but will be considered cheap, me thinks.

kicking can only be done with the staff, which is annoying.
plus u can only kick with ignited saber.

and there's lots of other stuff, but on the whole, those moves kick ass, and it took 4 patches for JK2 to become what it is :)

ps: and move that to the JA-forum
