(trust me I've heard them all) If your having PC troubles ask away, please note I need as much info as possible to help diagonose or solve the issue. Want to learn some PC tips? Go and ask away! I will try to respond to your problems and questions as soon as possble. Sorry I cannot answer any Mac question I haven't touched a Mac in years.. Edit: I have now expanded into helping with programming issues too  (C++ stuff only though) (This has been a Paid Service Annoucment.) Ok Here's a post with some usefull links. I will keep updating this as needed. If you don't know about this site and you are a Windows User you need to know about this. This site will patch your os with any of the bugs in any Windows OS. http://www.windowsupdate.com A good piece of software to have. This will scan your computer for any kind of spyware that any freeware or shareware program that you download and install. http://www.lavasoftusa.com or you can try spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html *NOTE* Don't have both installed or they will say each other is spyware. I like spybot better. A good free anti-virus program.. If you don't have a anti-virus I recommend you do. http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php This site is good for information on ISP's(Internet Service Providers). It alos has a great little toolset for testing your internet connection and the forums are helpful for tweaking your pc to get the most out of your connection. http://www.broadbandreports.com Do you have windows XP or 2000 and a great video card? Seem to be stuck at about 60FPS, even though you say like com_maxfps 120? Simple fix http://www.ryanmh.com/files/reforce.zip is a fix for a Windows Bug that locks your frame rate at 60 fps when you can get higher. All you do is unzip that run it, click auto populate, hit Apply and reboot and boom FPS allover the place _______________ When a Man lies he murder's some part of the world. Just wanted to post a useful link that Orion could add to the sticky maybe. First is Spybot S&D, a spyware killing program. Hey man I'm having a lil bit of a sound problem. It seems that after a few seconds of no noise during a game or while watching a movie, the sound cuts out until something kinda loud happens. For example, I'll be playing JKA and after idling in a area with not alot of sound, it will just cut out until I turn on my saber or open a door. Then it's fine again until things get quiet. Is this a problem with the settings on my sound card (NVIDIA nForce) or just the sound card in general, cause I've heard NVIDIA has alot of problems and glitches. _______________ - Proud padawan of Kueller. - We really are at the beginning of it all. ok, i think i found my problem, and it is VERY wierd. when i use my normal mouse, my pc lags and stops responding, mouse too. I tried to change mouse and i had no lag nor mouse troubles. So i thought it was a mouse problem or something. Today i bought a new mouse, and i have no lag at all, everything is fine! I wonder wth has the mouse to do with my pc lags and stuff? anyway, problem solved _______________ I killed them. I killed them all. They're dead, every single one of them. And not just the men, but the women and the children, too! They're like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals! I HATE THEM! well at least it's not a memory problem, ive run a memtst86 test and nothing showed up (Errors). Ive scanned my pc with Spyware and only 3 files found infected, wich were MSN cookies, not a problem, related to it. So I don't really know what this is. _______________ I killed them. Nah. Ditch the hard drive idea for now, with the mouse problem. First, try another mouse. If that doesn't work, try a different type of mouse (if you are using PS/2, us a USB, and vice-versa). If you STILL have problems after that, to where the USB mouse will not work in ANY port, and the PS/2 mouse won't work either, then you have issues. Then come talk to us again. But the seems like the mouse is dying, or the port is just going bad. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. That's only a slogan, and is as misleading as slogans always are. Ok, this is really pulling me out of my nerves! When im playing, my pc stops responding for 5 seconds every minute, and when i get back in action my mouse doesn't work at all, sometimes it does, but most of the times it doesnt, I get back to Windows and my mouse does not respond aswell, only after the 3rd reboot it gets working again.I made a format, just in case that this was hapening because of all the trash i had on the HD, but no, still hapening! my problems fixed but if someones jedi academy or outcast game won't work for any reason just do this: take our the jedi academy file in cprograms/program files/lucas arts/jedi academy. then reenstall it and it should work just fine. |

Thedestroyer: I happen to have this problem too, and though I do not know what causes it (I have the retail version btw), nor do I know how to fix it, I actually found a way around it. Just look around in your gamedata folder and you should find two files named jamp and jasp. Double-clicking the first one starts up multi player and the second one, single player.
