I figured i'd try here. I'm new to the adademy but have been playing since beforce JO. I'm currently seeking a formal master, 1on1 prefered but 1on2-3 works. I'm neutral in force but prefer the usage of light. However when it comes to sabers, i want to learn what you teach. The thing is.... Classes are great....you learn alot of stuff in a short amount of time going to classes. But you can learn the same stuff just going on the home server and hanging around asking people questions, and practicing. Granted it would take a LOT longer, but it would happen. The whole point of this place is to get better at the game, not become an admin. It's not a race to see who can 'get knight' the fastest. As far the master/padawan relationship....that should be between them and them only. theres my $.02 |

No, you dont NEED a master but those of us that cant make it to any classes do. There is no way for us to get formal training and even hope to become a knight without em. I tend to have a problem with people who have the time and can be there at the classes applying to masters. Im not being specific here, just in general. I would go so far as to propose a rule that those who can and do enroll in classes should not have priority to get a master, or to take it to an extreme, that they should not be allowed masters. Keep in mind, I said extreme there, so no flaming please And he's right, you cant get much responce on the board, I posted there, got nothin, not a peep. I too am looking, for a JA master, as I hope to become a knight. Well there is my rant Darth Halbrad |

yeah, also many people fail to realize that you really don't need a master here at the JA. Sure, it's nice to get some one-on-one training and all, but that's about it. You can do that with most of the JAKs or JATs on ther server already. Don't stress yourself over finding a master, dude. _______________ memento mori |

I know its hard looking for a master...i know ive been there but there only so many knights and trainers......and in my opinion they do a "bang on" job, they have my full support and i respect them. Cant say that it gives instant results. There are way too many people posting on profiles for any of us JAK+ to look at that board all the time....(Take a look at my profile and see how many requests I have) So, as Flash said, leave a message on a JAK+'s profile. That seems to be the best way to get results. _______________ |
