EDIT: This old thread was bumped so I assume someone at least is interested in the idea. In short (see below) the idea is to give everyone in the Hall of Fame a permanent comment on their profile, so everyone will know who they were and what they did to get in the Hall of Fame, and a statue in the map. I'd like to add something to this. With the new map released, the academy got itself a lovely garden with Vladarion's Memorial shrine in it. I say we use the extra space in that garden for more plaques or statues for the people in the Hall of Fame, I think it would create a very nice and solemn atmosphere in that particular part of the map. I have mailed the original idea to the council, but the council hasn't done anything with it yet. Let's see what the students think of this new concept. ORIGINAL: ___________ Dear JACs, JAKs, JATs, and fellow students In the light of the recent departures of many of our friends, the hall of fame has grown and is even larger than the list of JAKs and JATs. A lot of people will not remember all of them, and since it's a hall of fame, this is wrong. I suggest everyone in the hall of fame get's a permanent comment his profile providing us with the history of that person, ergo: his story. People in the hall of fame deserve to be remembered. Furthermore, I'd like to see a real hall of fame in the next Academy Map. A line of statues, in a long corridor, or spread throughout the map with their names on a sign. That way, we'll always remember them and they will always be with us. What do you think? Statues bad. Plaques good. If Vladarion deserves a memorial, the other Hall-of-Famers (Hoffer  ) deserve at a plaque in my opinion  And I think we should form a committee or something who appoints people (who knew the Hoffer wel), and they can write the permanent post, which tell the story of the Hall-of-Famer. |

I reckon a seperate page or soemthing, cos eventually (and I do eventually not right now) the hall of fame list will be extremely large. Therefore I say have its own page, just to unclutter the 'about us' page. Statues in maps, I'm a big fan of all that but you know what I (and some other people) are like with things which don't actually serve a purpose in the gameplay map. So I guess the permanent comment on the HoF profiles is accepted? What we need now is people to come forward and write those. People who knew HoFs well. Of course, it's also needed to state properly on the site when someone is added to the HoF. Now about the statues, as I see it: A long corridor (not an extra , just one that has a purpose, like one connecting to important rooms) with in the walls at equal distances statues in niches. Me and Freedon made something like that in a map and special lights give it a very cool effect. About the downloading, I suppose the map will be edited let's say every three months. Sounds like a great idea althought I think we should take the profile pic's frame them then write there name under them this would be less stranging on the mapers and would be much easyer to update...just my thoughts about it tho BTW! i got JK:JA so im going to start re training so if anyone finds cloak thunder or bandit laying around tell them im back _______________ Back from the dead Student and unoffical teacher from 2002-2006 |

Yup Yup great Idea and we should never forget our friends that have left. But we also need to remeber that we need to think of each of our brothers and sisters who are with us now.
