When i was part of the Jedi Academy back during the Outcast days, it was a great place. People were friendly, the JAK's kept the servers in order, and everyone cared. I just recently started playing again. And well..... it seems like there letting anyone join these days. On my second night playing there was a group of people on. Everyone was being polite and honoring places in line, then suddenly 3 people just start cutting. I asked nicely for them to honor the person who was next and I was told by near everyone to shut the #@(#@ up, to suck their #@#@#, and that I was a douche bag. Im extremly disappointed in how the academy has become. Is this place becoming a haven for noob jerks. Is this how we want to be seen. After tonight im not sure if Im going to stay. I dont want to be associated with this place now that everytime i logg on the server someone is cussing someone else out and being rude. Thats not what this place was about. And dont just think its cause there were no officials around, cause 1 time there were JAK's around. So.... maybe ill see you on the servers. But probably not. lol JJ but, I do agree, Ive seen it also. And its not just normal duel interference. Its also groups of people 3-4 gangning up on 1 person thus making him/her very very irritated and annoyed. Sometimes they even wanna leave cuz whenever they go on the servers they get lamed. |

ONe little note to prove how lamers become old news: Something like: The JAG Um...SnoopDog[JAG] WE all flipped out about the JAG guys, but it was settled in no time. I have three things to tell everyone.. 1. /screenshot type it in console and it will take a jpg picture of what it say. so you can capture language or weapon useage in the temple. which you then send to a JAC most likey whispy to look after.. 2. /condump <name>.txt will dump the totall console into a txt file, which you send to a JAC to look after. 3. IRC most people I see on the servers have never paid the chat channel a visit. if someone is annoying, simply go into the chat channel and get the attention of a JAC or JAT and they will jump into the game to sort things out. laming is not a reason to lame in return, it does nothing. swearing at someone only garantees swearing at you. don't lower yourself to their level. calmly ask why they are doing it, and mearly say if they dont' like playing on these servers, to go to a public server to play. being with the Jedi Academy isn't a right, it is a privilage. remember that.. _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos. OI!!!!! Ihappend to be a big defensor of a freaking line when dueling. And I make sure ppl follow it when I'm on. 1st cutting in is rude. Since when does the winner gets to pick with who he will fight ? He gets to do the next fight and tahts about it. The rest of the ppl should follow the "imaginary" line. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to follow a line. Even JJ could do it for christ sake . It's a mater of being civil and being civil is one of the things that makes us unique among the JK community. Now Rendar, you are right about the line, but you are rong by judging everyone on account of 3 ppl. The ppl that come here didn't change, but the number increased. Now instead of a couple of wirdo morons we have a few more running around the rest of the new folks that join us. But even if they were 10 % of the new ppl (witch they aren't) this place would still worth wille staying or joining. Like Doobie mentioned we do not have a mod yet for JK3 so dont expect a JAK or a JAT to be able to settle ppl with words only. This will be solved very soon and these bad elements will be removed much quickly then now. But even without a MOD they are and will be removed from community. Remember we have server logs and theyr IP's. JJ, with every post you strengthen my arguement. Part of what he said was true, but very little. We did have a line forming, big deal. Some people were cutting, big deal. I said to everyone "maybe in the next map we could model in a line or something". Then happened the thing im mad and upset about. Instead of just saying "no bad idea" or "i dont think so", i was met with the words "shut the #(@#@ up" "stop whinning @(#@#" , Suck me #@)#@" ect. Thats what im upset about JJ, i could care less about the line, Im already used to people only caring about themselves and cutting, it happens all the time. Well JJ I don't think he deserves to be insulted for voicing his complaint. We don't have the ability yet to have multiple duels so everyone is trying to get in once a duel finishes. Rendar? You know that these people will disappear one day and no one in their right mind will ever care or remember them. How many former jerks do you remember? Maybe it's just me but I don't remember many of them. We're the ones that count! We'll be here long after them and reaping the rewards for being good people while their off trying to find someone who'll put up with them. Next time do a condump and send it in. Things get better and nothings too great for this Academy. You remember that jerk that was laming everyone just before Hux left? He had plenty of abilities to allude us as to who he was but in the end he was taken care of. Quickly too! He thought he'd be able to keep it up for good but he was wrong wasn't he! Stick with the older students and report the brats. EDIT: JJ what are you going on about? And why don't you act the way you used to? You've changed JJ! If Rendar isn't telling the truth then spill the beans as you seam so inclined to do but frankly I don't understand what you're trying to say JJ! So Rendar got mad because he formed a line and no one else agreed to that line. I personally wouldn't respond to what someone else was whining about if I had a problem with them whining. It sounds to me like people were just being rude and I don't think there's any reason to be rude to anyone. So I suppose ywant to know what this bawbag is talking about.....well, dueling was going on, aye? Well, when a duel finished, people just ran up, challenged, and the guy chose who he wanted to duel. I've only been with the academy for a month or two but everyone has been pretty nice to me. However the "crazy girl" drops in once in a while to lame, but that don't last long. I've also learned alot. Definitely remember Rendar that there is no mod as has been stated. And all of these people know it, so they really aren't going to listen to anyone because they think they have free reign untill a mod is up. And I hope they realize that there are people watching them and will remember how they acted. There have been these issues since JA came out. I'd suggest looking back on a lot of the posts since mid september and see what was being discussed. Whenever there is an influx of new people who have only spent their lives on public servers come here they think the rules are the same, "don't follow them because no one cares" You've got to give them and us time to get things smoothed out and remove the bad apples. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. rendar... I wonder, have you considered that jk3 is a relatively fresh platform with no JA mod yet? at this point in the life of jk2 we barely even had opened the Academy, and it was pretty much like the wild west in terms of conduct... comparatively the jk3 JA is leaps and bounds ahead of where we were with JK2. give us some time, both for the game to stabilize and for us to get the source code and get JA mod ported, and then we'll see if we have these problems. _______________ -Academy Leader/Dictator/Defeater of DJ Sith and JACen Solo in the JAK+ Tournament -I do think it (the JA) will help convert dozens, maybe hundreds, to the dork nation... --me |
