As unOffical JA photographer, I'm gonna host a screenshot competition. I won't set a criteria only a few rules. 1. I don't want a picture of a Really good map or anything like that. this is all about teamwork or personal work. I want you to take a picture with a group of people, it can be anything you want. either from a server with a few of your buddies. or if you can't do that your allowed to use spawn cheats to create your own scene. like so.. http://a.domaindlx.com/aceyspadey/jedi/dsspawns.jpg that's just an example.. note now npc's are not placed randomly but in strategic positions... 2. NO useing Photoshop or Paintshop pro or any other image program to edit a photo (i.e. add special effects. etc). you can only use it to adjust the brightness of the photo as they seem to save a bit dark. at times. careful not to flood your picture with brightness. black should still look black. not washed out. I will be judgeing on various criteria, setup. shot position and choice of subject. I will even go down to it. that if you choose to make a squad of stormtroopers. I'll take points off for troopers facing the wrong way.. don't rush this. take your time.. and the reason..why.. why I'm doing this. I have one more week off before I am back at work because of my shoulder reconstruction. so that's the end date.. Due DATE:: [changed] I'll put up a FINAL DATE when a good number of entries come in... [ HELPFUL HINTS ] /cg_draw2d 0 - turns off your HUD, unless it's important part of your shot. I don't want to see it. /cg_fpls 1 - makes saber first person. out of third person so nothing is in the way. or /cg_drawgun 0 - makes the gun invisible if you choose to shoot the shot with first person gun. **bind screenshot command, and wait till previous console message is gone so it doesn't turn up at the top** ~Concerning by yourself spawning npc's. commands/cheats you should know~ /noclip - this way you can float anywhere you like to take the shot /notarget - please...use this so that those stormtroopers your planning to stand there don't suddenly turn and kill you. ************************************* I dont' want millions of emails with huge pictures.. please host your picture and post up a link here. I will add the links at the end of this post so people can keep track of who has posted what. I'll judge differently for all. then a best overall screenshot. Judgeing *Best Overall *Saber - best group pose(use your imagination, not just lined up) - best action pose *Guns - Best Group Pose - best action *Best Scene - group picture - useing npc's (more categories to come should I think them up.) so there you go.. in jk3, if you're spawning npc's, just stand where you want them to stand and look STRAIGHT down turned to the direction u want them to face. then you just /npc spawn jawa (Jawa's are the COOLEST!!) |

so far the pictures here are only for one type of the competition. comon people. there are plenty more. if you see a good gun battle going on HOME server either jk2 or jk3. jump into spectator, turn off the HUD and see if you can capture a good shot from someone. or you could gather up some people to stage a mock battle.. p.s. since I can't enter this competition cause I'm judging it, I'm gonna post up a pic just in the thread as well..perhaps doing so will give you an idea of what to do. remember you can do your screeny from jk2 or jk3 and I'm not judgeing on graphics cause everyone has different graphics cards. this is my 0wn3d pic http://www.angelfire.com/theforce/acey_spadey/JA/23nov/0wn3d.jpg _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos.
