l8ly the last few times ive been on the servers people have been running around chasing empowered jats n jacs ect, now this may all be fun for some people but for me im here ot learn and chasing someone around with a double lightsaber while 14 other people are closley shaving my rear with a lightsaber also trying to get this person is rather boring. So can we stop this or something and if it has to happen have an organised match or book a server or something. Im sure im not the only one thats bothered about this so can you please post with oppinions ect and restore my faith in the academy. |

we kept to one room most of the time but last night it got a bit out of control but it was tons of fun if u dony like the game just asl us to go to another room or something |

Well, like most of you said, the activities we do here in the Academy are mostly learning experiences. Plus it's fun, there's nothing really wrong about, it's just the guys deciding to have some fun. The only thing that annoyed me when AVALON was the one with the double blade was the fact he killed those that did'nt even have their sabers wielding, were AFK, or just wanted to spectate. The point is he killed those too and that got annoying. But other than that, it wasn't too bad, despite the fact JACs and JATs might wanna do those kinda things. _______________  Luke Skywalker

I wasn't there so I don't know completely what was going on but you can actually learn something from an activity such as that. Its not a Team FFA environment so your attacks can hurt your "allies". You are all focused on killing your opponent while at the same time not killing the others. You didn't see obi wan and qui gon slicing at eachother to kill darth maul. I've done this on other servers before where me and my friends are attacking the same person, usually someone that has been a jerk. It does tend to really make them mad but they deserved it. I can't understand your feelings Iniquity, but this is a game, after all. Sometimes people just want to kick back and and have some fun. Like DC said, we were learning the values of teamwork (heh, we did get him a few time with some of Avalons plans ). If you don't find the chaos fitting, you can always ask them to stop, or head to another server. Iniquity, this is not a regular occurrence on the servers. It was just a little something the kids were doing to have some fun. I sure if you would have told them that you weren't happy with being in the middle of the chaos they would have either contained their game to one area or just stopped.
I understand your point about being here to learn, but it never hurts to have a little fun. I was there while all that was going on, and I just stayed in the matrix room practing combos. That little game of cat and mouse did not ruin my time on the server at all. Sorry that it ruined yours, but as I said, next time something like that is going on tell the others how you feel about it. I'm sure they'll respect your request. -Arcuss{JAPingster} |

I don't play often so it's rare that I'm on the servers but what we had today was totally awesome! I haven't had that much fun with JK2 in a long long time! (All those countless hours of mapmaking finally paid off)
Everyone was having fun, I don't recall anyone complaining about it, infact everyone was participating in this "chaos" that you refer to. See you may see it that way but people were actually using teammork and trying new ways to stop / get me, and that was great to see! Waves of 3 Jedi against one person, innovating their approach. Besides, there was consensus to the game that we were having. I'd understand your view if people just started interrupting a class or individual duels but this was not the case. It's a shame that you don't find that game fun, it actually teaches you new things... -DC _______________ I build the walls that keep you within! |
