I only saw one Past JAT abuse his power. I have been here for a year, and only seen one. And they were dealt with, as a demo (which I still have) says it all. so JATs, while they usually don't abuse power(they are great people, really), are also prone to the same disciplinary actions as anyone else. So if they abuse things, take Screenshots, demos, a copy of the console, and send them to DJ or Doobie. So I fear not the power of the JATs. I think the only thing that would be truly fearful is if all the JACs, including DJ and Doobie, went corrupt. But I doubt that would happen. So, well, trust the JATs. As everyone else has previously stated, we had lamers before. They all go away eventually or get banned. And, having more JAK/JAT on the servers wouldn't help much right now, as they have no power to stop the lamers. But that will all change when JA Reloaded is released. |

Slightly off topic, but for 2 nights running last week a certain banned individual got back on the servers (NL to be precise) and STILL the paswords haven't been changed. I thought that would be one of the first things to have happened! I've said it once and I'll say it again... the reason JK:JA seems out of control is because we have no mod yet. once we get the source code and chosen-one gets a mod out 99% of these problems will disappear. There is no need for these "the academy sux, lets improve the academy" posts if you're complaining about how things used to be in the old days or complaining about the lamers. Most of you weren't here in the old days before the mod, before most of the stuff that's here. It was really like the wild wild west back then. I must say, of the 5 bannings I've seen on the servers, only one has taken more than 5 minutes to get under control (that was an exception). Now that Jacen is a JAK and Buzz can help, I don't think there will be too much of a presence issue . I don't think tests will help too much, anyone can lie. You all have been a little harsh. n00b, I'm sick of your disrespect. Saying that JAK's and JAT's didn't want to lose in public.  SLAP. good day |

I am sorry you feel this way Sed. It is impossible to lump every JAS into one class and say that we all stink. Everyone is diffrent with diffrent ideals though we are held together with a basic set of goals. You must have been upset when writing this otherwise you would not condem all for the actions of a few. We are all friends here and we should treat each other accordingly. I have not asked anything of any one here at the academy that I am not willing to do. Before we start throwing stones let us take a look at the situation. Nothing can be resolved while angry and many things that would normaly never be said tend to fly out. A JAT and JAK presence has been missing from the servers since the start of JK3. I'm seeing more now, though. I think they were trying to figure out the game on their own without facing the embarrassment of getting killed as much as everyone else was. I don't blame them for doing so, but in the process laming was quite a problem and a subject on a lot of people's minds. There have been quite a few bannings for laming, just follow the rules and don't fight back or you may get tagged as being a lamer as well. If someone is really peaving you, take screenshots, condump the text in the console and get on mIRC. There is usually a JAT or JAK hanging out there that you can talk to. One of them will usually get on the server and check it out for themselves. _______________ Gone but hopefully not forgotten... |

calm down dude. There will everytime join and leave ppl. And there will everytime lamers around. And i would never say that "the students" are lamers. Of course there are some, but most of them are realy nice and kindly. The lamers will go away after a while, but the real Students of the academy will stay and will help to have here a very nice place to play some games. And if there is someone who is very new, you cant expect that they know everything from the first second. Im here 6 month now and i gave a lot of new students the tour and told them about us. If nobody cares what they do, they cant learn the right way. So please, dont be angry about new students, just be happy to have them, maybe you find a freand of tham. And remember: you was new sometimes too, so its no occasion to be angry. Um, testing before joining the academy? Sorry we NEVER did that. Everyone leaving? We have many many people here. 3-4 people quitting is not near everyone Especially considering that we have more people joining than leaving. Don't bring up the issue of bowing. You are not required to bow. If a person doesn't want to bow they don't have to. You forcing them to bow also makes you no better. Sed, you can't judge them on whether they bow or not. Bowing is completely voluntary, and if you don't wanna bow or say good fight, then it's up to you. |

Dude, the JAT's should be given RCON... the thing that intimidates a lamer into behaving isn't the tag, but the power that comes with it... and if they don't behave, the JAT can actually do something about it. |
