What is the purpose of JASE? I know what it stands for but what is the reason to have such an organization? Who developed it? Are you sure it's not just a popularity contest? I do know some of the members and I'm quite fond of them but something seems… disturbing about this JASE thing. Maybe someone could "ease" my inclinations a bit. I mean the name itself "The Jedi Academy Society of Excellence" suggests it to be a clique of sorts. Also why would The Jedi Academy need a "student government"? Why would students need to speak outside of The Jedi Academy Forums regarding The Academy's maters? Is it because he was a whiney farm boy from some backwater hack planet? No, it's because he was a FREAKING JEDI. He could block lasers with his lightsaber. He could levitate droids & rocks & crap with his mind. Come on, he choked two pig dudes with just a simple gesture. He cut off Darth Vader's hand and kicked him down a flight of stairs. He got his @$$ zapped by lightning from the geezer Emperor, stood up and said "s'at all you got b!tc#??" |

Absolutely not Dopp. I truly believe that if you have never "doubted" you have never "believed". The truth about the wild, reoccuring, co-INK-A-dink about the JASE/JAK/T connection seems fairly obvious or completely coincidental. As stated before, JASE was started in part to recognize students. Well, it did that, and yes that recognition carried all the way into some students ranking at the JA. We never gave it that much thought as far as ranking at the JA through our accolades forum or the tag. We never thought it would make a difference amongst the JA ranks. And perhaps it has not, although it is a strange Co-ink-a-dink. And now Massadoobie has implemented the same thing the JASE does, by recognizing students and allowing anyone to post feedback about any student. Perfect. Honestly, I feel we have done our job. The void that we felt the JA had, has now been filled. Now of course as you can see, that forum is flooded and I can imagine there must be some poor staff member that has to tally these threads, (to properly measure the results), but I am sure it is being done. And with that, the JA now has another tool for recognizing JAS other than JAK/T/C. Works for me. The JASE will still move forward though. We got some cards up our sleeves that we have been dying to play. Our focus is shifting now. On to the next area that we can help. Anyone want in? We can use the help. Oh, and SMILY RULES!!! That was very good PJ. Your right one of the most important things you can learn in life is how to teach. I think schools should start teaching adolescence how to teach. Learning how to teach someone is a great way to become organized and keep yourself organized. So good for you that's the best thing you can do. I've been here long enough to know that not every Knight was once a JASE because we've been having Knights long before JASE was even conceived. I will recognize that the majority of students recognized on the student nomination forum are mostly (if not all but I'm too lazy to look right now) JASE members. I would dare to say that allot of Knights and Trainers might have privately nominated mostly JASE members for Knight too. I'll never know that for sure but I'm a pretty good guesser about these things. Now I'm not saying that I disapprove of any member of JASE becoming Knight or more cause I know a few of you deserve it but I will say that most of the people I've seen nominated I truly question the motive behind that because I don't see them as having neither the JA qualities nor the JASE qualities that people are suggesting they possess. Smurfette is such a slut! you know what happens when Papa Smurf says goodnight to them all.....yes....you DO know.....LMAO Anyways, JASE is cool and I think it is a lotta fun I would hope to one day become a knight, for sure, but for now, I like to just help out, and generally be a person who, like the rest of us, looks up to JAKs and above, and looks down upon no1. Except lamers, because everyone looks down upon lamers . I like the JASE because it gives me a chance to learn to teach. I really like that Which reminds me, I'm going to try to get that anti-guns class started back up again (Sat 10PM-11PM GMT.....end of plug ) LOL but it aint started back up again, so.....damn K, lets get back on track! LOL. People in the JASE are not treated any better than normal students. Not every Knight was once a JASE member. And not every JASE member will become a knight. Yes, some JASE members are accepted with skills required for knighthood, but we don't accept just potential knights. If you want to join, you don't need to be next in line for promotion. The fact that A few JASE members worked hard enough to become a Knight has nothing to with us. JASE is completely voluntary, and it doesn't hinder/help your chances of promotion, as, well, d00bie and the rest of the JAC's don't care that we are in the JASE. Just take a look at the Knight nomination program! they ask for STUDENTS to put in suggestions, not just JASE members, because we are no better than our fellow student. You = us and us = You. It's as simple as that. No discrimination has, as yet, been shown. We cannot claim that we "Have more teaching experience under our belt" because we dont all teach, and those who do, don't teach to an entire class. All students who have taught another student, have the same experience as us as I said b4, us = you and you = us The fact that we wear a "wierd" tag, just means that it is something we are proud of! We do not boast it, nor tell everyone that we are wearing it, just let ppl know that they can talk to us for advice, SHOULD THEY WANT IT. If they ask a student for advice, and they aren't JASE, we aren't going to say, "HEY! ASK ME! I'M MORE IMPORTANT! I'M A JASE MEMBER! WHY ARE YOU ASKING THAT LOWLY STUDENT!" (BTW: if they ever do, tell me. If it's me, then, uhh, tell moby LOL)Thats my 2 cents. Boy, that felt like a dollar. How long have I been typing? Oh well, I bet when I hit "Add your comment" it'll show up as a really small paragraph or sumthing EDIT: bloody hell! that was big! this is the post i made on the JASE homepage: because of mounting responsibilites and because i am no longer a student, i am stepping down as JASE admin. JASE is designed to be run for students by students. i feel that the best thing for JASE would be for me to let someone else take the helm and lead JASE to greener pastures. i am deeply sorry if this disappoints any of you, but it will be for the best. JASE is no longer mine. take it away guys. |
