I have a proposal to the JAC's JAT's and JAK's. The new people who are coming into the game are , as i am seeing, showing a lack of respect. Im not saying that it is all new comers but some of them just dont know the Academy way. The other day i tried helping someone with some staff saber work. He was butterflying throughout the whole match. I said you might wanna learn some moves other than a butterfly and i think he took it as an insult and gave me an attitude about it. I was just trying to help and i understand how it my comment might have been misunderstood. Now to my proposal. I think that within a month from joining the new students should go through a probationary period where if they show any disrespect more than 2 times ( or whatever the academy leaders feel fit) they will be removed from the academy. I dont know if this rule is in place but i believe that it is the best thing to do for now. With all the new people joining the academy i think it will help the Academy Leaders to pick out the rotten apples. Because in my eyes the academy is a place for friendship and learning. Its a good idea to an extent..... One thing I'll point out is, whenever I see anyone on teh server with a bad attitude, I try to straighten it out. It doesnt matter whether he has been here 2 day's, or has account #94 (Just using DB's # as an example  ) I also think it would be silly for us to have to make some sort of report or something saying "Blah78blah had a bad attitude and wasnt nice to everyone" I mean, that's more work than we need... And, what if the guy was having a bad day? Sometimes, I have a bad day, and I dont have the best attitude either (Although, usually I'm pretty good at masking it) Therefore, he should get an official warning, because he isnt too happy about his day? Nah, maybe we should just leave him be until another day.... _______________ |

I think the system as it is now works fine. I've been dealing with a lot of newcomers, and most are very respectful and polite. There are always some rotten eggs, but they either shape up or leave. |

I tend to agree with Mockran on this Wind, I was there too when it happened. Now I see from your post you've been pissed by his 'attitude' but honestly you've been a little pushy with the guy. And concerning your proposal, I believe in the current system. I also believe submitting ppl to a probatory period is not necessary and would need such an amount of time and ppl that it's completely out of our range IMO. And I have a question for you my friend: what about JA members that are sometimes disrespectful on the servers ? WindofDeath I was there when you tried to give your "advice" not to be mean or anything but it seemed like you were trying to almost bully him into learning something. Now it really doesn't matter if all he can do is butterfly maybe thats his style, maybe hes new, and maybe he was trying to peeve you off. Just let people do what they want and when they want. Before you want to offer to help you should ask to see if that person wants help. Another point is that these things always come in spurts. Several months happen in between occurences. New pricks join thinking its just like any other place. They either get that its not and shape up or they leave on their own or are banned once they realize their behavior isn't appreciated here. Frankly there are too many applicants to really do a probationary period and decide whether which ones should stay and leave. And what if someone isn't around for the first month and a half and turns jerk on their third month here. Only JACs are allowed to ban ppl from the academy, JAT+ can ban from the seervers and JAK+ can kick from the servers. We have our own threads on teh JAK and JAT forums where we keep track of toublemakers.
