yoda couldn't have beaten palp and vader anyway for 2 reasons. One, two dark masters. Two, in ep2 he displayed signs of his age starting to get the better of him as he summoned the force to help obi and ani, and in 5 and 6, he mentions that he is too old to face them now, and displays larger signs of old age. _______________ -If a Jedi ignites his lightsaber, he must be ready to take a life. your both wrong, the books say that it was determined that the council made an error in assuming that ani was the chosen one. Apparently the vergence in the force is requisited in the OFFSPRING. Anikan Skywalker isnt "the chosen one" because he used a special force that noone else can overcome to bring the emperor down. I believe that was just a force surge of strength. I still think yoda would win if they fought and palpy didnt flee. _______________ |

If Yoda could have defeated Palpatine, I have to wonder why didn't he? Palpatine was clearly more powerful than his apprentice, hence the terms "master" and "apprentice." Vader was able to kill him because he got the drop on him. Even the most power Force users are not all-powerful, and even Master Yoda could not foresee the future with perfect accuracy. The Emperor was blinded by rage and also by his own arrogance--if he had seen it coming he would have been ready for it, but he fancied himself able to foresee every possible future and so had his guard completely down. _______________ My signature is only one line. Vader defeating Palpatine had nothing to do with his power of the forceor skill. It happened simply because of Vader's physical strength. It is obvious that Palpatine has more power than Maul, Tyrannus, or Vader ever had (just like LordJaws said), or else they would have overthrown him. Jedi Master or no, I do not believe Yoda stands a chance against Palpatine. Plus if you want to talk about the storyline, if Yoda were to defeat Palpatine in EP. 3, there would be no EP. 4. _______________ I do not ask for your poor, or your hungry, I do not want your tired and sick, It is your corrupt I claim, It is your evil that will be sought by me, With every breath, I shall hunt them down, Each day, I will spill their blood, till it rains down from the skies. If palpatine and yoda fought, and im saying (if they were around the same age).. Yoda would win. Hes a jedi master, and i believe if little anakin the chosen one can defeat him, then yoda could defeat him.Maybe not how this story's going because of his age, but i dunno. For all we know yoda and sideous might have a connection to each other from the past. Maybe yoda taught him, he IS pretty dang old _______________ |

I agree, we haven't seen the power of Sidious. And Yoda warns Luke for the power of the Dark Lord. And like I sayd before, if you keep in mind that the Rule of the Sith is that the strongest will be the master, so when the aprentance becomes stronger thatn the master he will kill the Master.
