SilkMonkey - Distributor of Cold Ones  |
I've recently discovered that while everyone else is improving at JK3, I am the only one to not improve (even become worse) over time. Now, I know the JAK+ ranks are supposed to be based on skills. I'm beginning to think I shouldn't have my rank, especially when there are so many others who are better than me. Silk i was told, u do not have to have the best of skill to be JAT, it is the knowledge that u have, i had a 56k, so i had about 500 ping on classes and home servers, and i never though i could be JAK, cos i lagged and sucked, but Jacen wolf solo told me xanotos with a ping of 600 was able to be JAK , so its alright silk, but i don't mind switching positions with u  _______________ Moo |

Silk, you ain't wasting time at all, you're making the fun experience unfold even more. You're a part of The Jedi Academy family, basically you're like a pappy, we lose you, we lose a part of The Jedi Academy. Like yesterday on the servers, I had a blast watching you fly the Tie Fighter, and me trying to fly the tie fighter lol. Jawa parties are fun too. And talkin about football and who'll win the Super Bowl is even more fun (Panthers will pwn Patriots  ). You ain't wasting our time, you're makin it all the more better . |

well thats your view "who ever", i just believe the attitdue is more important, yeah you can have a grate attidue but be really rubbish, but silk wouldn't be a jat if he was rubish. goodness gracious dude...you know that your Knighthood isn't all about skill; it's about going out there and going the extra mile to help people who are worst than you, are lost, just arent' familiar with JA, etc. etc... Don't stress about it too much, cause as one of the rare veterans who have not achieved Knighthood yet, you're doing a damn fine job. with the prom and goodness else whatever you're planning, i think it makes up for your "lack" of skill. _______________ memento mori |

Silk, If it makes you feel any better, the one training sesh (not the making of the JADD commercial ) I had with you, I learned something. So, I don't think you're wasting your/our time at all. If you need to take a break for a little while, that's totally understandable. My theory ... Silk was feeling a little down and needed some cheering up and a confidence boost, hence he posted this knowing that no half reasonable JA member would say he should step down. Well, in my eyes the JAKs and JATs are not only skillful fighters but upholders of the peace and teachers. They're the ones that hold the JA together and keep it from falling into (total ) chaos, and they're the ones that set examples in terms of behavior. So if you can't win a few simple duels but can set an example for the other members of the JA (JAKs and JATs included), then you're not wasting space. |

I say No, your not wasting anyone's time. Although not a teacher, nor a knight, or heck even a paddy for that matter , I remember a time when I was on jk2, and I, just, couldn't, get the style down with fighting. JK3 came out and it was a different story, not that I rule the universe, but I can contend with most and have fun with the game. Like the others said, maybe a break would help. Or perhaps a different style like duals or staff would be of interest? Also, don't be so hard on yourself. I've only met you like once or twice, but you fought honorably, with respect, and you showed every ounce of what it means to earn the JAT. If you feel like trying staff, and just want a basic tutorial to get the feel of it without feeling the need to snap it over your knee (I remember a time in the beginning thats all I thought), send me a holler in the profile, would gladly meet you on the server. Good luck, you'll find your groove _______________ Be honorable, be friendly, be trustworthy. Show respect to all whom you meet. Don't forget you learn when you win AND when you lose. Be the first to admit mistake AND the first to correct it. Be the shoulder for someone to lean on. Always remember those that sacrificed time to help you.
