Siege Question

Sup,

I was looking for JavaGuy's Seige post but it has eluded me.

With more and more ppl playing siege all the "tricks" are pretty much standard play, I am still having trouble getting around one trick though.

When your on offense playing hoth, and you must take the access codes to the panel, ppl are using techs to put up sheilds at the only exit. The other day I was on a 16 person server and the defense team had 4 techs all deploying sheilds and then killing themselves. Does anyone know a good way to counter this?

Try getting 2 assault guys to set up their e-webs, and a couple more guys to cover them, they should have the shields doen in no time.

Alternatively get some imp techs to fire their dmp's secondary fire at the shields, the electricity may jump through the shields and damage the people on the other side.

Yes that is exactly it. After they place 2 sheilds, either you gotta get mega lucky, or they really gotta suck.

I see what you are confused about.

The defensive team has access to the passageways the offense cannot get through. When the shield generator outside reaches 20%, he is saying the defensive team takes one of those routes and proceeds immediately to wall off that doorway. He is still talking about the access code panel, I guess he means defense moves too quickly to get through the door ahead of them.

Kinda like Luke said, if you can't destroy the people before they set them up, throw all your firepower at them as fast as you can.

He's not talking about the shield generator at all. He is still talking about that big doorway that LEADS outside where the access code panel is.

The best thing I can really say is get all the firepower you can and have Jedi ready to run through second the shields are gone. Have assaults use their E-webs, heavies their rockets, just anything that hurts.

(Jedi)Obi-JK, I don't get it...did you just answer your own question? What do you want to know, your talking about Shield Generator now, but in your post you were referring to the Access Code Panel in a later objective :confused:

Dark Jedi on hoth have 1.25 speed, assault has like .75.

No they offesive team doesnt have sheilds, and the real problem is when you are dealing with "talented" players. When the sheild gen is at like 20% health they will run through the set of doors heading to thier next spawn point and have two sheilds up by the time the generator is down.

As far as I can tell this is not beatable

Well, not really a counter for something like that.
The only thing you can do it to kill the Techs before the plant the shields or go through the door before they do it.

For example: 1 or 2 people go to get the access codes, the others run to the door and kill the Techs are clear the shields.

I don't know if the Jedi in that map have a high level speed, else you could try to use Speed and break through their shields.
