What's up with abandoning JK2, people? Sure, that new JK3 is fine and fancy, but how come 99% of the JA can't be bothered to go to any JK2 classes anymore? Over the last 2 months I've only seen more than 4 students at Kueller's TFFA class, and Monthy's Knight Trial Duel Prep. class (not counting the last 4-5 classes of mine, where I've had to advertise on both IRC and JK3 home... several times... and only 3-4 have shown up). Are all the classes really that boring in content? Are all the times really that bad? Are all the teachers really that crappy? Or do people just don't bother to switch to that JK2 cd? Who knows, if you went to a JK2 class once in a while, you might learn something useful for JK3. I was all "weeee!" when I became a JAK, because now I had the chance to teach the students of the JA how to play instagib, CTF, and use guns. But no, JK2 was abandoned already in November and December. I've now reached a point where I think I'm gonna cancel all my classes, there's no point in my standing on that blasted server 20 mins, when I could be out there getting better at playing. Just, please, tell me why people aren't coming to any JK2 classes anymore. PS: No, this is not a thread to make more people come to *my* classes... it's a thread to make people come to ALL JK2 classes. PPS: Please, do NOT enroll for a class without showing up (unless you had a reason, and then posted on class description/teacher's profile), that's just about the most annoying thing I've encountered in a long time. |

They are automatic, though, I know some Aussies/Japanese people have been having trouble with it...? I've never had, though. As long as you set your timezone right, then it should work automatically. |

Hmm my problem has always been times, i have a hard time finding a class i want to attend at the times im available. And in an attempt to allieviate this problem I will ask a question ... Do i need to make adjustments for Daylight Savings time or are they automatic with the system? |

I know about the new students, Aphex, and I won't stop playing JK3, not that at all.  I just meant, there's still a lot people don't know. Trust me. Perhaps we weren't bad at duelling and stuff, but if you compare the JA players with some of the pub players out there, then we don't stand a chance (at least not in TFFA, CTF, etc). |

because jk2 is...out. its like fashion.... edit/ the thing is.....most people already KNOW (almost) everything about the game. most of us were like jk2 GODS...we just dont care about it anymore. at least i dont. and on top of that, all the new students are here for jk3. and im here for them. I mean to say, because they are different games an take differnt configurations why would you lose skill? Its just like switching from Star Craft to Warcraft. I played starcraft forever! then i got Warcraft. It was different yes, i need ti work to get skill. Then i went back and i was just as good with starcraft was i was before. JK2 and JK3 are different. It took me a while to build up my duelling skill in JK3, and I don't want to lose it by playing JK2. Besides, I have no clue where my JK2 CD is. |

Go Jacen, you tell them. And to all the people saying JK2 is dead and we have to let it go. WHY??? We can play both games! We HAVE both games so why not play them both. There are SO much classes teaching you a lot of JK3 stuff in JK2. So ppl, please come, you'll be surprised at how fun the old game is. If the JA leadership has decided to only allow new knights to become knights in JK3 then it appears that is the direction the JA is headed, even if people do not wish to become knights they just want to head the way the JA seems to be leading them. If JK2 is seen as having equa merit as JK3 then why do they not allow JK2 knights and JK3 knights ? (If there is a forum post about this please direct me to it , i must have missed it). Also it is related to the empty servers. Most people (Rightly so imho) like to beat people in duels. So from what I understand, you people only go to classes to become JAKs? I'll come right out now and tell you this: most of you will not make it to JAK. Oooh big surprise! Come to classes to learn and to have fun, not to "train for jak". Just because there is a new game out doesn't mean JK2 is not fun anymore. You all say that classes are fun, whether they are JK2 or JK3, so why don't you come? This is a game. Games are for fun. If you take this as anything more than that you will be disappointed, trust me. Not a single person signed up for my last class. Nobody. Feh! _______________ make install -not war |

well, for one reason the trial is JK3 now, or so I read so what's the use in training in JK2? Well, it DOES have a use, and it's still my favorite, though I now prefer to train in academy, since I'll have to study those saber and guns too... if you get my point  _______________ Visit the Belouve Family Website! I had to inorder to be really good at jk3. You can't play both and be really good at both. I stopped playing JK2 to try out JKA. I quit JKA cause I found it to be sucky, in my humble opinion. When I went back to start playing JK2, the servers were deserted. I have been meaning to sign up for classes, but my interest in the game isn't as keen as it used to be since my favorite aspect of JK2 (dueling) has vanished along with the crowds of JK2 players. _______________ Part-Time Player (Weekend Warrior). I'm not really that interested in JK2 taking over JK3's part, it's not that, I won't play on JK2 home, NL, etc, myself.... too boring, all duels. I just meant, when 90% of all classes are JK2 anyway, then why don't anyone care to show up? |
