Aratan, when you are in the server, just ask someone if they could give you a tour. It was confusing to me too. The place can be like a maze at first but is quite straight forward once you know your way around. The first place you'l learn to get to will probably be Matrix though. |

Welcome aboard Aratan! The JA is a VERY cool place to hang out, learn, BS on the forums or whatever! I myself have had JK2 for like 3-4 months b4 joining the JA, but didn't really learn a whole lot 'til I got here. If you came here to learn how to bcome a better JK2 player or just to meet really nice people, you're in the right place!!!

Welcome to the JA Aratan. I had never used net gaming before and the Academy is the best server i have played on (i try out various publics). Everyone here is really cool and willing to help out useless players (talking about myself). My gaming has improved ten-fold since i joined.

Thanks, I did just hop in at [ks] and I got some good duels with JProton [JAP] (sorry if it's JAS instead of JAP, but can't remember). Pretty good server you got there, no hack-on-ppl-without-sabers there, and that is much appriciated. I will be going there alot more now, you can count on that. I'm looking forward to try a class here in the future too.

Well I didn't know how laid back and friendly the servers were until I got on one of them for the first time.
Also I didn't realize that the [ks] server is used mostly for hanging out and practice (as opposed to organized classes) so it would be good to hop on that one first. Pretty much anybody will be willing to go over some of the basics of the Academy with you. Stuff like a tour of the map, what the most common tags mean or anything else you might want to ask. I also didn’t know it wasn’t a total FFA and was a little intimidated to just hop on the first time. I thought I might get on and just be killed. That is not the case.
