Anything that gets NPC's gets me 2 :P /me hides for backpedal

By my knowledge theres no 'superior' stance, if tehre would be such a stance, everyone would use it me thinx :)

I was in Leif's class, he compared Red to yellow, trying 2 find out which works 'best.' Conclusion: Its not about the stance u choose, its about your tactics and such. Its not what u use, its how. ;)

See, if u imagine a duel between 2 duellers who are able 2 defend perfectly... then the duel will last forever. Theres not a stance superior, nor a trick in the world that gives you guaranteed succes. :)

At least, thats what I think btw. :D

Actaully, Butterfly and DFA are two different things. Butterfly is forward+jump+attack with staff or duals (also to left and right with staff). DFA is the same key combo with single red, yellow, or tavion aka green stance. The two moves are distinctly different: in a butterfly, the Jedi hops forward while spinning with the saber outstretched to cover as much area as possible. A DFA, or 'death from above', is an attack that comes from above, focused on a single spot.

Advancing Scissors is sweet, but try whipping out a Backpedal Scissors when your opponent's nice and close. Way more powerful. Gets NPCs (especially in SP) every time. :D

yellow is possibly the best stance with a single saber......butterfly a.k.a. DFA "Death From Above" Red is alot more complicated but much more effective in the hands of a skilled player:alliance:

Better yet, a YDFA with a (theoretically speaking) single saber butterfly. One hit kill, ne one?

That brought up a crazy idea in my brain: Would it be possible 2 make new, special combos by combining swings/moves from different stances together? Could a new move be made like that? Just a crazy thought lol! :D

I would say that the single saber is the best out of the three, but I switch between the stances. Using all three makes for a deadly combo.

Every person I've seen play JO and JA who use single saber *always* go for red stance to begin with. Every time. With base JA damage, a bit of luck and they're fragging

Rofl! Its exactly what i did when i started playing JA! Now I switched to yellow, and lux around with that! :D

There is never a choice on any of these threads like "None are better." That's the correct answer. The authors of these threads always presuppose that one is better than the other and hope to glean the answer through a poll. Well, if ya gonna ask, ask all the possibilites so we can answer the question correctly

All sabers have individual strengths and weaknesses. In time, you'll see what I mean. Start with the one you do best at, then branch out and discover the other sabers and styles.

The mistake people make is they start to think that a saber or style owns because everyone is owning them with it. Some of these people start preaching false information that the style that owns them always wins against everyone. This is indeed a fallacy. When someone owns you with a saber type or style, the best thing to do is become your weakness. Let's say someone owns you with red, well, now its time to learn red and find out what that person knows. Same with yellow, blue, staff, and duals. Never make the assumption that one saber or style is better than another. Its your mindset, your knowledge, and your ability to evolve that makes you a good saberist.
-n00b
um...not much more i can say.... uh.. i 100% concur?

Quite. There are a limited number of individual attacks each style can perform - anyone, given enough time, can master these. The element of skill comes into play with how and when you use and combine those elements.

As for the vote, I prefer to use a single sabre, but do not use one stance only. I switch between stances depending on what condition i think my opponent is in.

Well, IMHO yellow stance is much more difficult to master, that's why there aren't many yellow-only stance users.

For me the yellow is enrichement and nice ending of the duell (that's why I try to leanr it - yet not with much success :( )

What is he best? It's only topic, which can sooner or later fall into argument. It always depends on the person, who uses the style, no matter which one it is.
