I just want to say that I love the Jedi Academy map, its a true work of art. Too much of a good thing can become a bad thing, so I am asking this... For the love of all that's holy, rotate the map on the home server. There's only like 500 maps out there that could be chosen from. Disclaimer: This post in no way expresses any explicit dissatifaction in the way the Academy works. It is merely a suggestion stemming from the boredom caused by logging over 1000 hours of playing on the same map. Ooh.. well, in that case, I suppose we could probably run a custom map once in a while? I mean, not do it every day or every week, but once in a while, for a bit of a change. Like when we put Beta 2 up a while ago. |

Does n00b actually mean a NEW MAP? Hahahah, away an' sh*te man, make your own map! Mind you, I don't know what's more boring - Playing on the_academy, or playing on the_academy versus n00b... oh wait, yes I do! Definately the former! Though, in all seriousness - These kind of ideas are better thrown at the JAK's, JAT's, or JAC's. Forum posts like these just make you seem like an ungrateful shite. i don't know what ure complaining about....we get plenty of map variety. Why only about 6 months ago we had the Jedi Academy Beta map, and soon(ish) we will have V2...god and now u want MORE?? _______________ INTP |

And I'm really not going to bust my ass making Official Maps for the Academy if they are only going to be used 10% of the time. If you would like a map changed for a while, ask a JAT. Otherwise it'll stay on our own, Official Map. - Virtue.  _______________ Academy Architect |

There are many problems related to map rotation im afraid. Preferance Not everyone will enjoy the maps you enjoy. With one map everyone knows what to expect. They know they can use certain rooms and have great duels without falling of a ledge etc. I personaly dislike alot of the maps i have seen in public servers. We are the academy, we play on the academy. Rules The rules were formed for the JA map. With new maps comes new problems. This might seem silly to you. But alot of the times we need rules about everything. Or else people will cause issues and just refer to the lack of a rule for that given thing. And I can tell you right now. I am not sitting down and making rule edits just cause of the addition of maps. Download More maps = more downloads. And there we have cluttered up the servers once again. The skin purges will be done for nothing. Plus, not everyone want their base folder filled with alot of cutom maps and crap... Oh well.. the_academy is heaps boring, I got bored of it after about the 3rd time I played it Don't get me wrong, it's a freakin' awesome map, but i like alot of variety. I'm up for map rotating _______________ You are not your f***ing system specs. You are not your uptime stats, your script file, or your oversized desktop screencap.
