Sorry Kenwan, but I've got to agree with a lot of Buzz's points earlier. The internet doesn't just revolve around you; others may talk in the IRC channel at the same time as you. So what? It shouldn't stop you from talking. If somebody throws one or two things in the IRC channel while you're explaining something, you can always read around it, that's the good thing about IRC - you can't talk at the same time as to be able to sound anyone out. Then there's your occasional way of typing, which is probably a habit, but an annoying one at that. I'll show you a couple of examples of how you could keep things from being considered spam: [22:14:59] <Kenwan> i used to do karate [22:15:03] <Kenwan> once apon a time [22:15:07] <Kenwan> wasnt very good at it I used to do karate once, but I wasn't very good at it [22:15:38] <Kenwan> oi beeky [22:15:43] <Kenwan> u 3 2nd? [22:15:45] <Kenwan> tomoz? [22:15:48] <Kenwan> or first [22:15:54] <Kenwan> something like zat See here how you've written 4 lines in 10 seconds, then another one shortly after? This style of writing makes a majority of the recent lines yours, making a screen look something like this (check the timestamps). It gets annoying just seeing one persons name littered all over your IRC screen with hardly any text from them. The screen becomes more white for me when there isn't much black text covering the screen, personally, which is likely to give me a headache. This is one of many reasons why it's best to try and keep each point/sentence to one line. Perhaps something like this would be better: Oi Beeky, you free tomorrow, or sometime within the next couple of days? Anyway, see how that screenshot was of you and your friend talking? The whole screen is holding two minutes of you guys talking, which is pretty fast considering my nice and large screen there. A lot of your other chat, especially when you were talking with Buzz, was like that too: Quote: Just one or two words per line. Now, I noticed you were getting annoyed at Buzz some. He's the enforcer, yes. He was just doing his job here. It doesn't have to be professional or anything. He is only human, and he has his limits as well. He's got lots of people he deals with, so you can't expect his attitude to be any different. It's great for an enforcer. I've seen people far, far worse than you appear to see this to be. Trust me. If you get kicked or banned for spamming, it's likely because you've typed a lot of lines in very few seconds. You were silenced because you still seemed to be spamming. I've explained most of that above though. I'd recommend you take any kicks or bans as a notice and actually think about it and try to avoid doing it, rather than going on about it. Aaaannnnnnnd cut! That's a rap, folks! I was only just directed to this little chin-wag here, appears it's been going on for a few days. Let's just say that I don't care who started it, who's right, who's wrong or who scored higher at Tetris - I don't want to see any more comments of the previous sort above this one. The publicity of this argument is done now. You're all using the Internet, you realise this, right? Therefore you cannot go and shoot eachother, you can't beat eachother up, you can't pay someone to go beat the other people up and you can't send your undead army to your opponent's base and kill their entire team. All you can do is hurl words at eachother and that's all you'll ever be able to do. So, are you going to spend the rest of your lives trying to be the one who gets the last word/insult? Or are you going to go make a sandwich and watch Family Guy? If you do insist on continuing this immortal duel of words, then please do it via E-Mail or something.
