It depends on what you're interested in learning. In my basic medium stance class I teach whatever a beginner will need to get a basic understanding and control over yellowstance as well as insight into some very basic techniques. In my Force classes on Friday I teach about the (mainly practical) usage of the Force. I use the different specifications (such as duration, Force Point cost, etc.) to help you duel like what I think is efficient. Although saber combat's a lot more populair than Full Furce fights, I think it's important to know about the Force since we're all playing a game in which we're being Jedi. I hope to see you around! _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. This comment was edited by Dash Starlight on Jun 21 2006 06:08pm. |

Hi there! I am indeed a big fan of Lost I have enjoyed watching both series, and find some of the issues and mysteries involved very interesting. Yep i think Desmond is a great character, and from what i have heard they will be bringing him back in some way, more likely alive, in order to explain his backstory a bit more. I agree that Charlie's behavior after he escaped the hatch was most unsual , he is my favourite character on the island and it was fairly obvious that something was amiss when he showed no worry for Eko's safety - even though he had not long ago been trying to help him escape. I am sure it will all be explained towards the start of the third series in autumn. I have been most impressed with Henry Gale's character too, the actor portrays him incredibly well, with a lot of power and intensity, and it will be interesting to see his role in the next series. That said i am looking forward to finding out how they introduce the heavily rumoured new cast members into the show. A belated welcome to the JA by the way, sorry i took a while to get back to you, but i have been somewhat inactive of late. If you are trying to connect to the Euro Classes server, I'm afraid it is currently down. The JK3 Home, Classes and Instagib servers are still up, as is the Wireplay UK server. If you cannot see those, check that you have the correct IP and port for each server from here, then make sure you don't have any firewalls that are disrupting your connection to them and try again. Are you trying to find the servers through your JK3 client, by getting servers from the raven master server? I doubt that will work. I've never found the US servers through that. Try adding all of the IPs from the servers page to your favourites, then connect to them that way. This comment was edited by Setementor on Jun 14 2006 12:25am. |

I can't tell your skill level by who you are, which is why I leave it up to you to decide whether you think you are up for it or not. You can give it a go if you like. It's just that the class is basically a couple of activities, some being team-based. It wouldn't be very good for your teammate if you were to die the second you stepped in front of your opponent. As long as you can stay alive for a little, everything should be okay. I'm really only asking anybody who comes to be able to stand for around 1-2 minutes at least. I don't want to leave people out of it, because it is a fun class, but it really is better if you know some intermediate techniques to help keep you alive for a bit, or it's probably not going to be very much fun for anybody. |

Well thank you. The idea was there, a nice picture of my staff swinging round my body haha. But the execution of the picture taking wasn't very good I tried to do it my self, and the result wasn't that brilliant. Quote: Im sry this may be a stupid question, but i dont know how to enter classes can you tell me how to i would appreciate it thx! Well, first you should make sure you haven't missed something that most other people do. Move your cursor to the rightmost menu, with the rebel and imperial logos on, then click 'Edit Your Profile'. Make sure that the GMT Offset is set to your current timezone. Also, remember that the whole site is ahead one hour for daylight savings, so if you set your profile to GMT +1, it will show everything in GMT +2. If that's all set right, save your settings and go to the classes page. Take a look at each class and see if the title interests you. If it does, check the time and date of the class to find out if you can be around for it or not. If you can, click the Details link at the rightmost section of the class' column to view more details about it. Now, make sure you both read and understand the class description at the top of this next page, as it may state some requirements for you to be able to take the class. Also, it will help you further determine whether or not the class really is for you. Under the class description are some extra details to make things more clearer, such as the Skill Level (basic, intermediate, advanced), which will mean that the instructor expects you to be at least at that skill level when you attend. If you're practically new to the game and you have learned next to nothing about the class' main subject, you'll likely be at a basic level. If you've played the game for a while and are about avarage knowledge-wise, you'll be at an intermediate level. If you have played the game for a long time, have a lot of experience and have learned lots about most areas of the game, you'll be at an advanced level. Pretty obvious stuff, but it's good to be sure. Make sure you take note of the game. Supposedly, the academy teaches Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast classes, but the second game I just mentioned, JKII:JO, is pretty deserted and nobody would ever show up to classes for that game, so there aren't currently any for it. But again, it's best to be make sure you know which game it is for. A very important detail to take note of is the server it is on. Each class will happen at the correct time on that very server, provided it is up and that there is at least one person enrolled. If that server is down, the class may actually happen on another server, so make sure you go to the servers page and grab the details for all Jedi Academy (JK3) servers so you can check all of them at the time of the class. Remember, you must be logged in to view the servers' IP and Passwords, and you must not, ever give them out or post them anywhere to anyone, even within academy grounds. The IP and Passwords are what you will need to be able to successfully connect to the academy's servers. Just open up Jedi Academy, go to Play > Join A Game > New Favorite and type in the IP of each server individually, then you can view it by clicking the 'Source' until you reach 'Favorites'. When you want to join a server, double-click it and type in the password (which you should probably learn by heart if you are going to connect to the servers using this method), then connect to the server. So, now for me to get to the point. On the class' detail page, if there is some linked 'Enroll in this class!' text, and you are pretty positive you will be able to make the class, feel free to enroll. If you aren't very sure and have some doubts about being able to make the class, just don't enroll and show up if you can. When it's time for the class, you can connect to the server using the method I explained above. Oh, I should also mention that the Holocron is a good source of information. It does actually explain how to get into classes and connect to servers, though I don't think it goes into near as much detail as I just have. But let me know if I wasn't clear on anything.
