Don't worry, I'll keep everyone in line.
We do still talk, play, setup events and deal with trouble regularly, among other standard duties. The servers are still active in the evenings and we still get incidents spanning across the servers, IRC and the website. Quote: besides that, im about as worrysome as a rainy day really.
Most of the time, yes. The content in that forum just really disappointed a lot of people, including staff.

We like to deal with things as a unit and I just happened to be the one to speak with you about it. Our warning procedures generally involve a brief warning in the offending thread(s), followed by speaking with the offender. I don't think it's fair to criticise the other staff for not being the ones to do this instead of me and I don't blame them for being affected by the content in the forum. The amount of people here depends on perspective. Also, it is more to do with the impression a person gets of the academy's attitude when they check up once in a while that might drive them away.

The detailed references that you made are not only inappropriate for younger people (I have no shame in admitting that I had little knowledge of them when I was younger); I am confident that I speak for a large portion of the academy when I say that one of my main reasons for staying in the academy for so long is how it differs in attitude from other communities: minimal swearing; minimal graphical references and respectful, fun, helpful, tolerant, patient attitudes. Many of the threads that you have recently made have either been rude, offensive or just more work for the staff. Collectively, the JA staff have received a very large number of complaints from people recently, a few considering leaving over it. I'm all for having fun, but not having to read swear words and overly-detailed references to sexual acts everywhere I go. |
