I think the only seriously unfair thing is to hack the game physics/aiming system so that it isn't even theoretically possible to do the same without hacking. For example speed hack and aimbot are too unfair to use in my opinion.

I don't care if the game is realistic or not. A computer game is made only if the game wasn't possible in reality or there was something wrong with the game in reality. Those cons then doesn't exist or are smaller in the computer game. Ofcourse the computer game will have some new cons, but they're different, and are less serious in some cases.

And I also don't care if there's an property in the game which wasn't originally meant to be there. It still might make the game better, and I've seen many such properties, for example in JK2 version 1.02 (in 1.04, those "bugs" were removed, making the game a piece of crap in my opinion). If the game is too strictly planned and made, it easily doesn't allow very much usage of creativity, making the playing style of each advanced player almost equal and machine-like. There also doesn't exist so much fun of discovering things, becouse most properties are mentioned in manuals/help files or are planned to be otherwise easy to discover, soon making almost all of them discovered. At least for me the global playing style of players in a good game should develope significantly for many years. This has been the case in JK2 version 1.02, and as far as I know, also in Jedi Academy.

In my opinion, the original, unhacked game is meant to decide, what is possible and what is not. And what's possible for all players, is allowed for all, unless it obviously spoils the game, and the usage is easy to detect. For example attacking people who don't want to fight in a FFA-server (meant for dueling/chatting/testing/training too), can be regarded as laming/cheating. Also using original buggy non-team-coloured skins in team games can be regarded as cheating. If usage of some minor trick, that is hard to detect, would be regarded as cheating, it would be exlpoited as an excuse by losers all the time. Then if you train yourself to be good player, you'll be thanked for that by making other players regard you as a cheater. I doubt many would be then interested in playing that game actively for long.

Anyway, I don't think it's a very good idea to play seriously JKA duels, becouse one can evade and defend so easily in JKA. If the duelist are quite equal in skills, the on who's more defensive usually has the upper hand. So if the duelist would play seriously, the fight would take tens of minutes, or even multiple hours. And still just a couple of less or more lucky hits would decide who wins the duel. Would that be fun then?

Also in JKA CTF it is way too easy to evade returners when you've stolen the enemy flag, making it quite similar with duels when played too seriously (running away and running behind all the time).

Fortunately, in TFFA it is harder to run away than in a duel, and in Siege it doesn't help your team or stop the enemy team at all. So if someone want's to play JKA a bit more seriously, these are the gametypes they should play in team matches.

This Freestyle 'rule' means, people may poke or not.

There is many many choises and no limitations.

Its part of training, to find how to play better.

And about 'weak' or 'strong'...
I mean there is movements that
cause more dmg than others
and movements that beat even other movements.

Some movements deals much of damage but leaves you open,..
or blocks, raise defends and deals high damage.

about Martial arts. Martial arts is for getting good health.
Its like about 'yoga', mental/physical training which
gain trainers strength and other abilities.

This 'exploits' vs. 'pure' is too shortsight viewpoint.

as was yellow stance vs red stance.

Or mind vs. physic. So.. I must to yell about it XD

I mean... and hope people try to play and try to use 'everything'
fun movements that is in this fun game.

Playing with 'new' ideas is also risky.

If you teach other to be weak, you teach excuses.
If your 'kungfu' is good, you win.
