I know its been brought up before, but I forget why we don't have a duel server set up? Like mabey when the aurochs arent useing theres it can be a public duel server or something. (well not public but a duel server at least) _______________ It's funny how many people know they have the right to remain silent, yet never do. |

i am thinking that the CTF serer would do better if it were a public server... A duel server iz a good idea too A public FFA server is probably not teh best idea since the JAK+ would have a hard time keeping order...(IMO) _______________ It's a false hologram, it IS artificial... |

Honestly I havent seen them though. Couple people I thought yawed me actually were spinning counters. Now that I think bout it, Duel server prolly wouldn't work. It just puts a middle man where there is no need for one. If you wanna duel JA members, just join the JA ffa servers. If you wanna go pubbin, just join a public server. Good point, Every time we have recommended a public server difficulty of admining it was the main issue, and it would be easier than a FFA server. But making JAK watch duel upon duel just incase seems a little harsh. At least on a FFA server while on hand to deal with any issues that may come up they can have fun themselves. Personaly i like the idea of a CTF and would like to use it more, but as it isnt used right now, i guess this would be the most likely one to be converted and I guess i'd be happy with that. Our main CTFers (Aratan springs to mind), i recall usualy complaining that the CTF server lags too much anyway (but then, aratan always lags )EDIT: I voted true on the poll, but as you put the word "Might" in there that was the only option really. Why would we need a Duel server when we can connect to the current FFA servers, challenge someone to a duel...and duel? As for Sabers being the most popular, I think one reason is because Sabers feel more special to people. Jedi, in the movies, grab people's attention more than the other stuff. Anyway, people are usually happy to play with Guns, if you ask them. Just the other day, I asked if a few guys on the Home Server wanted a to play with guns, and we had a nice little game of them in the Fort. |

I think a Public duel server will have Pro's and Con's just like everything else. Students would get to face public dueler under the JA name. And people not in the JA could get to see the cool people here in the JA and wanna join. But you'd also have to deal with lamers, twitchers, delay freaks, wigglers, yawers and what ever else newb moves they invent. Some would say well then just go to the ffa server if they are in the ja duel server. but the whole point is that JA members have access to their own server.
