Hi! There is a new game coming out on April 28th (I think) called Guild Wars. It looks so good IMO. Its an MMORPG with NO SUBSCRIPTION FEE! There is over 750 skills for each class, and of course, each character can be two classes. Furthermore, unlike other RPG's you can destroy pretty much anything (I think) e.g. You can destroy bridges which people need to use! Was anyone thinking about getting this? Some may actually like the landscapes around ascalon...and even if they dont, the actual starter area takes place in the past before ascalon got raid by the charr. yay i completed ascaron missions  no more ugly desert! damn its so weird - so many games have the ugliest areas at the start of the game. but it should be totaly different - at the begining you should see nice areas so you will get interested etc  _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. Could be. They nerfed a lot of hexes and elemental spikes that I assume the PvE mobs use. The skills were nerfed to affect the balance of PvP for the ongoing tournament, but I suppose it would make the monsters easier too. Dunno, I haven't done PvE since Sorrow's Furnace came out. I rushed through the game a second time up to Abaddon's with henchies and a W/N pre-patch, however. I know that PvE was also made easier as far as loot and XP goes because PvP players were getting upset with having to grind out in PvE in order to play PvP effectively. BTW, my in-game name is Grandpa Mojo if you ever need help with anything. _______________ When great gentlemens come together in a place. It could happen. All these gentlemen are Howard's family. Has anyone noticed that the game is getting easier?? I seems like it is to me. Was stuck at Ring of Fire some weeks ago, and stopped playing. Then, like 2 weeks ago, I decided I'd try again. And I beat it first try. Then I came to Abbadons Mouth. And I beat it first try... And for Hell's Precipice. Tried it first time al henches. And beat the bonus. After like, 3 failures or something, mostly due to that I lagged out, I was with a party where one player left before the portals. But we beat it with 7 players. All my guild mates have beat it earlier, and they say it must have been much harder. A bit sad that they make it easier IMO. |

I beat the doppelganger in seconds, all I had to do was interrupt his healing signet, and he couldn't do anything to stay alive! And, on September 7th, the Sorrow's Furnace update is coming out! There is somewhat of a grind factor that comes as far as unlocking skills and such, and it's pretty disappointing to see people get turned off by the initial RP grind. I do get irritated when I have to occasionally farm monsters to unlock skills for PvP when I run out of faction. People have complained about this a lot and they are probably going to fix it pretty soon (one of the steps they have taken to fix it is implementing the "faction system" for PvP). Once you get past the initial RP grind the game really picks up and gets good. It's very fun to try out builds with your PvP guild because strategies and people are always changing. The game was designed for competitive PvP, but there are also people that enjoy the RP section of the game. Well, to be honest, the game *was* supposed to be focusing mainly on PvP (I think) but the developers focus on each gametype the same amount, IMO. You can grind in the game if you want, but there isn't really much point in it, other than getting skill points for elite skills. Alot of people who have finished the game turn their attention to PvP, and from what I have heard (although I have only played it a few times), once you start experimenting with different builds, it is VERY enjoyable. Also, my guild is called Xell Nova, and I have forgot the leader's name -_-' so I can't give you a means of joining Characters: Zanpaku To (Lvl 20 Mo/W Farmer, 105hp/Invinci-monk Build, up to Thunderhead Keep) Glutony Homunculus (Lvl 20 W/Mo, Don't play him much, up to Iron Mines) Kimimaro Kisuke (Lvl 8 E/Me) Storage for Meh (Lvl 20 PvP Monk, and as the name suggests, storage for all my superior runes and godly items )Ok. </end random post about Guild Wars and I> _______________ ------------------------ This comment was edited by OpTiMe on Aug 24 2005 05:32pm. |
