Jade Jedi - Retired  |
In approximately 3hrs I will be heading to my barracks to get ready to board a bus to go the the airport. From there we'll be flying to Darwin in preparation for a possible deployment to East Timor. Once there we will wait for further word to board another aircraft to fly us to Dili, East Timor's capital where we will begin peace keeping operations to restore order to the country. Well guys this is it, after all the going and staying over the past week or so I'm finally off. I don't know how long I'll be gone for, hopefully not to long. I'll be thinking of you guys and I look forward to seeing you and playing on the new map when I get back, if Virty has it done by then. Well guys, another busy night for my section, while out patroling lastnight we were reacted to some house fires behind the Japanese Embasy, but by the time we got there the offenders wee long gone and the house's were to far gone for me to save this time  . So it was another long night with no results unfortunatly, well you win some you lose some. Any way guys with luck this will be the last post I make from East Timor. Hey guys, just an up date, looks like I should be home on 27-28 Aug with any luck. I forgot to mention that I saved a house from burning down the last time I wrote. We were at one house fire which was un-saveable when I heard a some strange noises coming from the house behind us. So I kicked in the door and found a book case on fire I pulled down a curtain and tryed to smother the fire then I found a bottle of water (i had to smell it first to make sure it was water) then used that to finnish it off. Hi guys, just a quick up date, we've stoped patroling the streets alltogether now, the police took over the night patroles from us on Mon so now we just sit around doing our Base security. On our the last night of patroling we managed to arrest 10 men all armed with an assortment of weapons including swords, macheties, spears and slingshots with metal darts. Latest news on when I'll be home is last week of Aug first week Sept, so thing are looking up for me, lets hope I see you all soon (so to speak ). Thats it from me for now, M.T.F.B.W.Y. Well guys I'm still here, we are now working nights only so it is taking its toll on sleep but we try to make it up during the day which is hard due to the heat but at least things are beginig to quieten down a little. Latest news is that we'll be home around the first half of Sept, which is good news lets hope it stays that way.
