 I remember a couple years ago, during the summer even during the day servs would be packed.Nowadays one can spend hours on the serv..and you can hear the sound of a needle hitting the floor. No saber clashes. no chat-text-popup noice, nothing.. Mesa thinks not even the release of Virtue's new map would awaken it. What do you think.....is the only servs alive the lame-infested Pub servs, or Clan servs.. There is always gonna be that group of people that get their kicks by ruining the fun for everyone else. And without an admin mod we would be powerless to remove said people. There have been periods of non-adminship on the servers. Y'know, it IS kind of a real shame about the server activity. Maybe my timing just totally sucks, but for the past couple of months or so? Every time I check the server it's like a ghost Academy. Maybe it's because I'm way over on the other side of the planet, I dunno. I really miss playin' with the crew on these ol' servers. It's a real shame I can never catch anybody online. Heh heh heh. XD Ah well, all good things come to an end, yeah? Probably a sign that it's time to close up shop for me, ha ha ha! I'd call it a good run while it lasted though. I heard only bad things about basejk1.2's gameplay tbh. Most of the changes implemented into that mod are totally useless anyways. Besides, why change a mod for another mod? Apparently its close to impossible to get a mods gameplay act like basejka. I really doubt c1 altered the saber code, but that apparently doesnt have to mean the gameplay is going to be 100% like basejka. Game isnt dead but players who survived right now are those who truly love this game, not those who play everythin for few days and quit. About servers i have to agree that they're nearly always empty... Maybe the new map would bring some life to them ? _______________ 0u+ 0f 5!6n4+ur35 =) |

JK3 is everything but dead. It may seem so if you look only at JA servers, which are really inactive atm. Mostly the mod is keeping them inactive. Well me & Jaiko are certainly planning on becoming active again! Hopefully see people on the servers soon then, be they old, older, or even new. Anyway i'm sure its not too bad, i see 'new members' popping up all the time! Certainly the community won't be what it was a year or two ago, even JK3 is several years old now, let alone JK2! Judging by activity though i would say the JA itself will be here for a long time yet, as even if the academy itself restricts itself to one series its members don't. Anyway i guess i agree with what Eica and Masta said among others. I don't think the JA is dead... just yet. But it's on life support. It's not just about how many people there are on the servers from where I see it. The whole atmosphere of the JA is different from how it was a year ago. When I first joined, every trip to the servers felt like an adventure. There were always interesting new classes. Newsposts were frequent and helped us all keep track of events at the JA. I'd like to disagree with Majno and others. The game certainly isn't dead, it's just this place really isn't as fun as it once was. _______________ Former padawan of RoseRed |

Most public servers if not all of them are full of lamers which is quite bad. I find the JA servers a lot better, too bad there are rarely anyone on.
