guys remember jak+ are somewhat careful about taking paddys. to post here may cause a frenzy (static) among the students. so what ill do to find a padawan is look in a few areas. (besides checking the looking for a master forum) i watch the servers too check out how the person is. i like to get to know the padawan im gonna take as to see his attitude is right. i dont want to take a padawan and one week later he is gonna get banned. second - i compare the students on the servers to whom ive seen attend classes. to be a padawan usually means the individual cannot make the classes they want based on rl issues or something of that nature. timezone plays a big role in that aswell. third - this is the biggest qualifier for me is "how well does this person handle him/herself in an unfriendly situation?" such as having a person on the server that likes to lame or gun lame, being foul mouthed, stuff like that. how do they handle that. cuz if they cant keep their cool with that then i know im gonna get a complaint about them. so in short to get a master: hang out on some of the same mediums as the jak+. dont spam stuff on him/her. just take your time and hang out if you can and get to know the person. it usually doesnt take long for a jak+ to choose a pad. and if you want that person as your master then just say something like "i would like to be considered for being your padawan. but in the mean time could you show me how to...." this phrase in itself will help you greatly in getting a master. not phrases like "if you dont take me as your padawan im gonna kill myself" or "i want to be your paddy.(which should go on to read) for no other reason than cuz i think that ill be knight faster" so guys be patient with us and just have fun.after all most of us do watch how much fun our potential pads are having aswell. and by the way i will break trend by saying i am looking for one or two more pads. so guys remember what has been said here. as always... burn rubber not your soul. Well, in my opinion, I don't find this thread too much use. In fact, I believe it can cause more trouble if a JAK+ posts in it asking for padawans. Then everyone who is looking for a master will ask him/her and make it hella difficult to choose. And when he/she finally does, it may disappoint the other student(s) who weren't picked. Actually, it's more logical for someone looking for a master to post here, as someone looking for a padawan will see it. _______________ You are not your f***ing system specs. I hope people don't consider this spamming but I think I should have posted here instead of in "looking for a master?" Well I've been looking for a padawan for a month now but not here though. I little about my game experience, I started playing Jedi Outcast in March 2002 and become a fairly able red stance duelist until about mid-2003, where I made the move to Jedi Academy. As a noob to Jedi Academy, I started with a noob-stick also known as a saber staff. I found it effective for rushing and dealing damage quickly but it soon became all too repeditive and it didn't look very fancy. Going back to single I felt that the gameplay seemed a little slower but the new JA animation made it smoother. I wasn't performing as well as I had used to but after a year of intense self training I re-mastered red stand. Feeling confident I joined a clan called the Frozen Knights and I've been a member ever since. Over the past few months I've also mastered yellow stance and have great use of the blue stance lunge and Feel that I'm a good all-round single user. So now here I am looking for a padawan to teach all that I know. I'm looking for a relatively new single user who has dedication and determination to become a good duelist. Regarding teaching, I will start with red stance and as you progress I will slowly move to yellow. Aside from dueling I will also teach you disipline and respect, things which you will need in order to become truly great. Remember, I can only make you as good as you want to be so you're going to have to put in the effort if you want to become a good duelist. Nice one again Tido...another reason why I'm your fan I just wanted to add to Tidos comments. Finding a master is like finding a best friend. You dont go around asking everyone to be your best friend. It just happens. There is commitment from both sides, both in respect and both in trust. There are 15 JAK's, 11 JAT's, 5 Staff, 5 Council members and 7500 members - 1770 active. The chances are that you will learn most things from the classes and other students or padwans - NOT a bad thing....if only 10% are anywhere as useful as Tido then there are 177 Tido's out there (Sorry Tido....I had to add that bit...)When I joined I was cr*p...I always got my backside kicked...now...I get it kicked in STYLE. This place is about the students. We make or break this place....and you lovely people are doing a marvelous job sharing and caring...this is why I love this place! Keep it up everyone.
