Sorry I cannot answer any Mac question I haven't touched a Mac in years..

Ok Here's a post with some usefull links. I will keep updating this as needed.

If you don't know about this site and you are a Windows User you need to know about this. This site will patch your os with any of the bugs in any Windows OS.

A good piece of software to have. This will scan your computer for any kind of spyware that any freeware or shareware program that you download and install.

*NOTE* Don't have both installed or they will say each other is spyware. I like spybot better.

A good free anti-virus program.. If you don't have a anti-virus I recommend you do.

This site is good for information on ISP's(Internet Service Providers). It alos has a great little toolset for testing your internet connection and the forums are helpful for tweaking your pc to get the most out of your connection.

Do you have windows XP or 2000 and a great video card? Seem to be stuck at about 60FPS, even though you say like com_maxfps 120? Simple fix http://www.ryanmh.com/files/reforce.zip is a fix for a Windows Bug that locks your frame rate at 60 fps when you can get higher. All you do is unzip that run it, click auto populate, hit Apply and reboot and boom FPS allover the place

I used to know but now I forget. I think it was used back in the pre-GUI OS days, ie DOS and unix.

ok for some reason i cant move forward while pressing c so i cant roll or lunge.And reinstall does not work.But tnhe wierd thing is it wasnt always like this it used to work.

underhill: AMD's are good they are cheap and fast. Their only draw back is the heat but, if you dont overclock you are ok.

hello o great orion!

me gots a question for you:

me has Win XP Pro on a Intel P4-M 2 Ghz with 512MB RAM and a Nvidia GeForce FX Go5600 and 80gigs of HD

me wants to know if there are any good windows-tweaking progs out there or any good ways to do it manually. i want to squeeze more juice out of my machine without taking too much out of my system's appearance or hindering some processes. lemme know what you think and if you need more info, tell me.

O mighty Orion, this lowly subject has a question for thee.

What type of processor would you recommend? Celeron, AMD or other? I ask because I recently bought GTA3 only to find that it runs as smoothly as international judicial proceddures (that is, not at all) on Celerons.

And I recommend getting a Gig of ram if running windows XP or 2k there is a performace boost with 1GB

Um well if you have one stick of ram then it will always run in single mode. Being that its Dual Channel Modules, you need two stick, because its suppost to increase your system bus using both sticks. It breaks up the data and sends like half to the first stick and half to the second stick giving a performace boost

Hey Orion I got a question for ya.

System specs 1st: Athlon XP 3000+ on an nForce 2 board. 512M PC3200 RAM, GeforceFX 5600 w/ 256M RAM. (OK now who wants to touch me?

)

Here's my deal: I'm trying to get my RAM to run in Dual mode, but can't find any bios option to do so. The system keeps on saying it's running in single mode. Any luck? I heard I may have to buy another stick of RAM for dual mode to work.

If he did it like that yeah there will be lag, because one pc that the cable modem is plugged into is acting like a server and has to do a lot of extra stuff

hmmmm im not sure what koyi did. I think he just plugged 1 pc into another somehow and they were connected to the cable. ill ask him.

ok how do you network 2 pcs together and have them not LAG!!!! I have a cable connection but 1 pc is really laggy. Koyi and i both want to play but we cant!
