Welcome to The Jedi Academy Map Project! Recently, a thread was created on the JAK forums asking for our suggestions for a new map. Monty came up with the idea to give the map a University feel, and I ran with it! I've laid out a full site to reflect my ideas in the hopes they would be produced, and now theres a team working to do just that! Mapping Team: FaDed, Virtue Contact a member of the team if you think you can be of some assistance.  Please, give any suggestions you have on this thread! Well, a lot of that is currently between FaDed and Virtue... Not a lot of my plans pan out, really. I'll try to post a couple new pics if I ever finish them. The targets were planned to be stationary, but respawnable. We're toying with ideas. Not a lot is set in stone on the force rooms, either. So we shall all have to wait and see, I suppose. |

I like how its looking, heres some questions though. - how big will the racing/ jousting courtyard be? does the track go all the way around the academy? - the light/ dark side rooms: whats gonna be inside them? maybe you can spawn one of those force-whores from the single player version or something? -FFA/Fortress thingy room: has guns right? and health and force regen thingies all over? its better if the guns are scattered, instead of the way they are in the old JA map. - for room number 9: what do you think of a series of planks and cross-planks above the room, with holes a bit bigger than character size all over? think of fighting on the strands of a spider's web. - gun target courtyard: stationary targets? or moving targets? or someone volunteers to pretend to be a goose? how does it work? - could you give me more of a description of the pit duel/lake/garden courtyard? maybe screenies? The screens below look good. The layout of the map is nice but cant really make a judgment till we get more screens. Can't wait to see the finished map. no all the rooms will be different, that just the basic starting point for them, they have some renevations coming up very soon, if u check out NFF's design u can get an idea of what it'll be like, oh yea, nice work FADED and VIRTY! _______________ Come on now, every Generation X boy wanted to be Luke Skywalker. Is it because he was a whiney farm boy from some backwater hack planet? No, it's because he was a FREAKING JEDI. He could block lasers with his lightsaber. Is it possible to have the names of rooms pop up in the corner of the screen when you enter them? So people don't have the same troubles that they have had on the other maps... Because it gets tiresome looking at "Where are you guys?" -or- "Where is that room?" all the time... Looks awesome. How about some enviroment rooms? Lava, Ice, Swamp. I guess it'd be a bit hard to be able to have ships.
