CuZzA: the banner looks awesome!  Just one slight problem, being that at this point, we're planning to do The Hobbit first and then LotR after that. We can still use that banner, it just needs to have something about The Hobbit on it as well.Meeting time: sounds like the best time would be Sunday, at 8 PM (20:00) GMT. Wow, Achilles, you're almost as qualified as I am! Why don't you start with some cave-like textures for my demo level. Also, we can use infinite numbers of swords and Orc-like models and skins. On the website thing, talk to CuZzA. We already have some space on PJ's clan site (see link in the original post), but recognition on some sort of official JK site would be great. The idea is for this to be an SP campaign, although this won't really be feasible until the SP SDK comes out. Although it's not technically in the plans right now, if this makes any ripples, whatever fans we get will probably be clamoring for an MP version of it, which I intend to package whether they want it or not. PJ: you think you have net troubles? Get this: My IE only works if "auto-detect proxy settings" is turned off; MSN Messenger, on the other hand, only works if it's on. Fix that! I agree with having a meeting. All team members who read this, please post your GMT offset and preferred meeting time (this weekend) on here, and make sure you have IRC working. I am GMT-8, PST, and I would prefer to meet sometime between 2 and 8 AM GMT (6 PM - 12 AM PST). Wow, we're actually getting people! I'm so excited, can't wait to release this demo map! BTW: potential mappers, feel free to send your ideas (in .map format) for parts of the demo map after reading my previous post on it to jamaniac7@NOSPAMtelus.net, without the NOSPAM part.  _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |

It's more along the lines of what you *can* do, so just tell us what you feel like doing and we'll send you something to work on. Eventually, we will be having arranged meetings on IRC; at this point, however, we don't even have a full team yet, and there isn't much communication happening. Also, it's been a while since PadawanJonny last posted here, and it mostly revolves around him. I am currently working on a "demo" level based on finding a way out of the goblin caves in the Misty Mountains, equipped with nothing but Sting and the Ring. (hey, that rhymes! ) As soon as I get this done (modellers and skinners, if you're reading this, I need models and skins of Bilbo, various Orcs, Gollum, Sting and the Ring, and some cave-like textures would be nice too), I'll be posting it on jk3files and pcgamemods. cmad_X: No serious programming will need to be done for this stage as you generally don't find archers in caves , and we don't have source code for the SP DLL anyway. _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |

I downloaded GtkRadiant 1.4 for JKA, so probably I can help with mapping. c1 still hasn't answered to my q's so not sure about modding (I can still write code though, I just can't test it ) I know how more than one people work on a map, but I'm sure it's gonna be easier.
