Hey everyone! I just got accepted here a couple of days ago and I have to say that this place is great! Anyway, my name is Alex, Alex D., and I take my martini's shaken, not stirred.  As you might be able to tell, I am a HUGE fan of the Deus Ex series, so if you want to get together sometime, give me a shout! I have had this game for about a month now and I am looking for someone to teach me the in's and out's of the game. Not combat instruction, but the game mechanics themselves, so I can figure out how this baby ticks. Again, great to be here! See you on the servers! |

Ya it doesnt have the same magic =) Thats right...i was just trying to explain WHAT exactly the magic is ^^ Like i said at the very end of my post > Deus Ex 2 is a great game...nevertheless the very many aspects in which Ion Storm has failed to give the player the same satisfaction as in the first part. Welcome. Regarding the bottom post: I partly disagree. I have both games and I don't consider Deus Ex 2 bad at all. I think it's a good game. It just doesn't hold up to the original though. And it's not because of the simplified gameplay or any of that stuff. It's because it doesn't have the same magic. Deus Ex (the original) is still one of the best games ever made. |

heh =) Deus Ex is really a masterpiece of work... I know the first part in- and out ^^ Its on the second rank of my > top 5 of the worlds very very best gamez ever < Well...its really sad what Ion Storm made out of Deus Ex 2...the game is really bad...and i mean...really really bad -.- Very terrible that fact is... I mean...the gameplay suckz badly (theres only one god damn sort of munition for ALL gunz...even the flamethrower) ...and this very exaturated choice system...its like > do mission for A or for B...when u do that ur cool with A or B < The first part of Deus Ex was pretty linear in the storyline but it gave the player so much freedom at the same time (and thats what i love about Deus Ex...Ion Storm kinda made it possible that both affects...the linear and the freedom of the player...were melted into one and thats just very great) In Deus Ex 2 is the "players freedom" more like > choose A or choose B...walk around...get confused...do jobs for one side an ur cool with it...yaaa there u got ur freedom! < And the very...very worst thing of all aspects of this great game is > even when u stick so badly to one side...u can f**k them all up at once when ya just push the right button at the very end (i wont explain further 2 prevent any spoilers) The whole game is about sticking 2 one side...and at the end...there r 3 buttons for all sides...u push one and "uve decided 2 be with them 4 very real" ...i mean...damn lol I just wanna see the face of JC when ya have sworn loyality 2 him and cheated on him at the very end lool ...Nevertheless...im calling this a very great game only coz of the very very great storyline (just noticed that JC wanna do the same thing as the angels in NGE) -Masta _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here!
