If you show respect in a duel, with bow or something, you will gain respect to yourself too! And this my friend is the key to succes! So follow my example, show respect!

Not only is auto-bowing in JA+ ridiculous, the whole mod is. It sucks!

I've always liked the crouch bow better myself, makes it more a personal respect thing then just hitting the bind.

JA+ auto bowing is ridiculous, forcing people to bow defeats the purpose of it.

I bow and expect bows for one reason - once you have finished bowing, you're fair game to be attacked. It signals the round has begun. If the person doesn't bow, you don't know if they're ready or not.

What I don't get is like, if someone DOESN'T bow... you're all of a sudden disrespectful n' all that non-sense. All because you didn't press your crouch key or make a bind to /bow. :P

I personally like the ''Crouch Bow'' varient, because it, takes more effort, looks cool, and most of all; you can't actually see your opponant while you're in the process of it.

Meaning you're not only showing respect, but you're also showing you're vunerable, and you accept that...

A bit like the martial arts kinda stuff. :)

In terms of Respect (i'd say a dash of Honor goes there too), crouch bow, animated bow, heck even the (saw only a few use it, but Faded I remember) giving the Head bob bow of sort are all equally respectful. Giving the attempt to bow in some form or another, to me/opponent, is a sign of caring/respect/honor. Good post Zorak!

I prefer the crouch-bow. It does take more effort, and seems more personal to me. Also I like it because I retain control of my character, unlike the animated bow. This is helpful for when you play someone who isn't as respectful as you expected ;).

And Jacen is correct, it is optional. However I would like to point out that your actions send messages. It's up to you what you want that message to be. :)

sorry all of those who felt insulted,
Just wondering , why is it seen disrespectful?

It doesnt look as profesional i guess, but it does acctualy take more effort as you have to hold the key not just tap it and move on.

Also if u bow until the other person has finished bowing/raised saber. You could be giving respect for some time :)

Ya, we really dont have a problem with people not bowing. But I do know what he means. I think that insted of just useing the crouch bowing, we should acually try to get everyone to use the bow comand. Its not hard to set up, and it dosent have to be directly in reach. I mean mines set to O. Just a thought, not to be taken to seriously. :)

We know :) Always show respect :alliance: Sometimes people do the quick crouch bow which looks sort of disrespectful in its abruptness, but it is their way of showing respect.
