Gee, well its kinda a long time ago. When i first got on the internet in 2000 I didn't know anything about anything. But i starting playing games like on yahoo and MSN and the like. Everyone would always ask me where i was from and i would be like Australia, Aus then i went to calling it oz. This was probably dum cos then people were like "wtf is oz?" "why dont you just say aus" and of course my reply was "coz, just coz". So anyway after a while i discovered a little thing called free email addresses, so i got me one. I had to think of a name so i used the two most frequent words i used on the net. And now i reckon i have a cool rhyming kinda nickname. And you all know the lame way in which i got it. Janus - I don't know how many of you were Super Nintendo fans, but back in the day there was a great great game (still my fave to this day) called Chrono Trigger. There was a badass character that started out as evil but then could be chosen as a playable character later on named Magus. The game was about time travel and such, and what point in time you go back to a time when he was a child, and went by the name of Janus. At the time when I jumped into gaming, Magus was used everywhere, so I used Janus to be different. Since about 1996 I've used it for everything. Most fantasy based games don't accept it though (either used as an NonPlayerCharacter's name or taken by someone else), so I've started using Ianua instead. History of Janus: Janus = 006 from Goldeneye (the guy that played Boromir in LOTR). Janus mutual funds. Used in Dan Browns Angel & Demons book somewhere (mom says it's in there, haven't gotten around to it yet, read Da Vinci Code though...) Real History of Janus: Greek/Roman God of Gates and Doors. 2 faces, one facing always to the past, one facing always to the future. It's Roman name is Ianua, which I've used in it's stead in those fantasy based games. Basically Janus/Ianua mean the same thing, just different for Greek/Roman (like Zeus = Jupiter) and so forth. Following n00bs lead, other names used over the years. The Green Baron (my xwing/tiefighter name) Baron (used here and there early on) Anubis/Anabis (mish mosh, i was obsessed with Egyptian gods and lore for awhile) '96 - Present Janus/Ianua I've wanted to post this for a few days now, but haven't had the right chance. Before to join the JA as Sol said I was one of the Pheonix. Named Jaina because I was fascinated by Jaina Solo in the Star Wars books And after a while at the academy I became a D'Kana. As Jaina was already a D'Kana I needed a new name. So after some discussion with Aiden (he disliked Barad... and finally I must admit that Barad D'Kana will sounds strange) I choosed Khâ, son of Pharao Ramsès II, because he had a strong sense of justice. I tought it could be nice to give this name a second chance -Khâ D'Kana _______________ In light of day, nor dark of night, no evil shall escape our sight. Well, I took my first name, and typed it in, and wala!1 Star Wars name/Viking guy name  Shows how creative I can be Well, in all seriousness, I started off with the name "IronFist" when I was first introduced to the online gaming world from the game Jedi Knight 2, which was August of '03. I had hopped into JK2 community which was already starting to hop into JK3. When I went on the first time with the name "IronFist" lots of people laughed, I won't explain the reason why :-/ So I then just decided to change to Leif. Within time, when I got into jk3-CTF I began to use the name Leaf on the ctf servers. Virtue has been my internet nick for years. It all started back in the early days of JK1, I had just left a Clan (because I realised how crap it was, LoL) and wanted to start fresh, I came up with ridiculous ones that I figured would hold some kind of meaning to them, Light_Warrior, stuff like that, I just wanted my name to say "This guy is really nice, and honorable too". Well, after changing names like that a few times, I tried out for a clan called "The Ancients", this clan was one of the most famous clans to inhabit the MSN Gaming zone back in the early JK1 days. So, I passed the tryout and the Clan Leader told me I needed to add the clan tag (which, to no surprise was "Ancient_<name>" .I thought for a while about this, I still wanted my name to mean something, so I looked in a Thesaurus (Yes, I am a dork) for differences of words like "Honor, Peace, Diplomacy, Justice" etc. I finally found one I really liked, one that described everything I wanted to be. And the clan tag made it stand out even more. The next day, I went back to the leader of the clan with the name "Ancient_Virtue", he loved it aswell. LoL Well, after a year or so, the 'Ancients' closed down and JK1 sort of died out. I'm an old Final Fantasy fan, and Kain from FF4 is badass being a dragoon and all (Fav FF class) and having a cool plot line. And then there's Kain from the Legacy of Kain series, a very cool series and Kain from it is also another cool character (Playing as him in 'LoK : Defiance' is very fun, the whole beating the crap outta people with your awsome sword and telekentic powers which you can use to pick them up and smash them off walls or impale them on sharp stuff nearby, but im getting carried away now ) . When i was 14 and got internet...i had to think of a nickname to sign up in AOL (i had AOL back then...baaah i hate AOL lol...but i really had it) Well as some of you already know...im very bad at choosing a nickname...so i thought for a week or so...i meditated for a whole week without sleepin or eatin ...and i finally came up with the nick > GameMasterXx (me was 14 back then) ...well i wanted to choose GameMaster but someone got that already hmpf...
