Under no circumstances should any member of The Jedi Academy discuss Star Wars: The Old Republic in the presence of Masta.
One dark night, Masta was raped by Star Wars: The Old Republic. But it didn't stop there. SW:TOR proceeded to rape Masta's mother, and the family dog. Upon finishing this heinous act, SW:TOR drank some milk from Masta's fridge and left the carton on the counter. These atrocities left wounds in Masta's psyche that will never truly be healed. Please treat this issue with sensitivity and respect. Thank you. |

Y & N. Though morally wrong to exclude certain people from health care, consumerism requires the circulation of taxable currency. While the absolute regulation and possible integration of healthcare in our economy is possible (eg most modern countries) we would require to fill in the gap.
Now I would support universal health care if an economically equivalent area of business would open up and allow consumerism to thrive. An example of a possible candidate would be the complete legalization of gambling as it is proven to provide an invaluable boost to the economy of certain cities (ie Las Vegas). This is from an economic perspective and I am ignoring all moral aspects of such an action. All in all, health care is a commodity. In order to make it a public service, we must replace it with something else. This is what Marx had underestimated about capitalism. He believed it would have failed years ago, but it is an extremely adaptable economic system. Competition breeds progress, progress spawns change and change is capitalism's saving grace. _______________ "Deos fortioribus adesse." |

Hahaha, yeah, that comment has been there for what, more than a year now?? And very nice to hear from you, too!
By the way, I was in Berlin recently, with school. Very nice city, wouldn't mind living there at all. Too bad we left when I was just starting to discover the interesting stuff! (Like cool consumer shops with alternative stuff; hidden in back alleys! And a photography museum with many works of Helmut Newton, dang I was sad I missed that! Oh well.) And I so hope I didn't miss something up and you are the guy who's German and lives there. My memory has been known to have weird things written in it. >_< |
