Ok..I'm curious. How much have you all progressed since you first logged onto the internet to play jk2 the first time ever.. how bad were you? was anyone you met helpful? what was your first good experience in the only world of jk2. I remember mine, After floating through a few servers and getting totally whiped out many a time, I stumbled upon a clan server where they were still building a map. hehe..they had only one spawn point and it was hillarious at how many people died as soon as they spawned. hehe. it was the first ever server where I started getting a good amount of kills. I havn't heard from them in ages. It was the JC clan. and they actually built their own server and client side mod. the aimod. I was impressed.. I even asked a few to show me some things and they teleported me away from all the killing and tried teaching me the basic moves and combo's. heh..and boy did I suck big time. I couldn't DFA let along do combos. and from there well. anyone that knows me on the servers can testify that I know what I'm doing. even though they might not  so..share your moment with everyone. _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos. I played on a FFA server and got owned with guns... I didnt yield the saber too bad on those FFA publics, but the moment I logged on to a JA server for the first time entirely changed my JK2-live. Well I sucked big time when I first played online which was a year after I got the game. Then I was lurking around online and found JA and everyone has been a big help. The most helpful was Damon C. Belouve who was sharing his master's teachings with me. Then I met my family Zero, Grem, Aphex and we all worked out constantly together. The most interesting of help that I ever had was Huxley which helped allot but also made me dizzy and queezy. Skylers been a big help too and so has Dark Blade and my mayon Kalheka. Though it's been along time Ruuk Haviser and me spent allot of time working on our stuff. All in all everyone here has been great. I've been gone for a while and I've missed everyone terribly. Well I got the game the third day it was out so in mp you do a rdfa and aim where it went in mid air but I found a way to counter it, Rolling toward them and was pretty good off the bat, 20 days into the game I got into SKX ( an elite duel clan) and learned a lot there _______________ What is the difference between love and Herpes? hmm. Well, first I just starting loggin into random servers, I was on 56 kb then, and I really couldn't play for long. Then I found a server and a clan, which had it's own server, the clan was CoN, or something like that. I used to play hours on it, and payed a really big telephone bill.... Then after sometime the server got canceled, and the clan stoped functioning. My clan, Defender of the Empire, also broke up. Well, then I came to the JA, and I couldn't believe what was happening here. It was and is a community, that plays jk2. I mean, it's not a few guys that play, It's a community that plays, meaning they sit on the forus, fight learn, talk, ALL TOGETHER. That's why I never quitted it, altough I had moments when I was bored with jk2. But I always came back. I learned alot here, not only about jk2 about life itself. But whatever happens(Koushka having a daughter, Lian getting married) people always come back. And that's why we love this place, it's become our second home. Well in the beginning I had no flatrate, means I had to watch the time. But as I got more addicted to the game, I didnt care about money and played hours and hours. One thing I remeber was a LAN we were doing. Me and a friend of mine dueled at the carbon chamber. Well, I was a real pro that time (cough cough) and already knew ow to walk. Wow. I WALKED down the stairs to the carbonizer, and boy, that was cool. It turned out that everyone on that LAN *walked* those stairs instead of running. We even started bowing before the duels (yup, we made that up ourselves). That was the first time I saw the game could be more than shoot everything that moved (CS). Another thing I recall was a game on ns_streets. One guy was doing an incredible move. It was awesome. He jumped with the saber over his head, killing everyone he touched. I was stunned. As everyone else on the server. I asked him how he did it, but he didnt want to share his secrets. I screamed he should tell me after every time he killed me with hte move, but his answer was another kill. well, i dont really remember sh*t, i just know that ive learned a ton of stuff. i learned moves, combos, movement, and good dueling skills (i pwned a few people). then i learned a lot of stuff for the console, a ton of commands and stuff. then i did a bit of skinning, and now im starting mapping. its been so long since those n00b days... _______________ Personal body guard to teh 1337 Jacen Aratan! Well the first time I played JK2 I was pretty terrible at it. Not alot of people helped me in dueling or using the force on the servers. Untill I met people that helped me alot in the game on the IDS and PO clan servers and The greatest EXP on JK2 was meeting windu and the PO clan. Damn...n00b days are quite away from now...let's say I joined around july 29 2002 ( ) but before that i had played on pub server (duel only) and sucked as hell ! when i joined, i already started asking around for a master...the moment i got cHoSeN-oNe as a master, my n00b side left and the pro side began to be Now i can beat almost all JAK and some JAT when i get a decent ping  But I really wish to thank cHoSeN-oNe for introducing me to the Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast gameplay. I took a while, first thing I did was join the Academy, where I stayed on the forums for months before going on to the servers. I've improved WAY since i first started. In the first place my lag, cause when i first played JKII online i still had a 56K modem. I was playing CTF and i always wondered how they did that weird move (RDFA, but didnt know it at the time) so i asked someone there and he taught me the move. I knew the basics when i joined the JA from my clan like the dfa's,lunge,backstabs etc. But i learned the most here at the JA. |

I have had jk2 since august,but I didnt join the JA till december. I was a total noob between this period. I couldnt even do a front kick or dfas at this time. I didnt even what a combo was. Than I heard about about the JA. I signed up for a few classes. I got better little by little. I than got promoted to learner. Took some more classes. Got even better. Right about the time I was ready for my journeyman trial the rankings disappeared (It made the JA much better when the rankings were gone). Since than I have improved little by little. Than eventually DB took me as one of his paddys. He is the main reason I very good at using guns especially the disruptor. Since the old days I have also made many new friends. I thank everyone who has ever taught me or has made me laugh at their jokes. |

When I 1st got the game, I played the SP mostly. Then I tried to get some of my buddies from my old job to buy it and play(we used to play Quake2 and SoF after the boss left for the day), but they're not really Star Wars Fans. So I just figured b4 I hit any servers, I'd practice w/the bots. At that point, I'd just keep my sabre-styly on blue and just move around and hit the attack button a lot, and they still kicked my butt!!! Even when they were on Padawan level. Then somehow I found the JA, and good ol' arcuss showed me the DFAs, wall-walking, etc. and when he became a knight, took me as his Padawan. In those few weeks, I had improved A LOT!!! I still was pretty bad(and still am), but I could at least take it to the bots on Jedi Master level. Eh, im too lazy to explain the whole story, but ill do it anyway When I first got this game, I just went from server to server getting pwned. THen the duel of the fates (ffa_episode1) map came out. One of the jolt.co.uk servers happened to have it playing, so I went there. That became a pretty popular server, and I met a few friends there. Namely Shadow Sith, Eclipse, Trad Redav, and Corran. Funny thing is, we were all in the same clan at one time. Then I joined a clan called -ReK-, a bunch of potheads from the Netherlands lol. Anyway, then i quit jk2 for a while and started to play MOHAA with a clan that was #1 on the OGL realism ladders for about a month. Then I came back to jk2, but the server that i played the DOTF map on was dead. So I emailed Trad, and he told me about the JA, and I joined in December (December 15 i think). Well, it ALL started way back last May at Celebration II (Star Wars Convention) when I came across this game on LAN. The graphics were amazing, and I PWNED!!!(Mune? pwn? Nooooo) I got to 50 with everyone at 5, except my friend who was somewhere in the 40's. And, so, eventually, I bought it. Logged on, looked at "Darkside Deuls 1". I thought, "well, gotta start somewhere..." So I logged on. I was in spec floating around looking at the dueling map and these two guys go at it. I lossed and lossed and lossed and lossed. "Wow! This place is pretty cool!" That was my main hang-out before I came here. And, now that I've gone back, I realize; Most of the people there are using stuff like binded moves or yawspeed. None of it's real skill at all. But anyway, not much has changed since that first day. I still lose, and lose, and lose, but this part's different: and win. So, I still don't have much going for me, but it's still a bit fun! And I've learned one huge helper: counters are your friend. _______________ Captain Barkeep. |

About the same as Jake - I'd been playing JK1 for five years already so I had some sabercombat basics right when I began. The only problem was that I used absolutely nothing but downhacks, heh... And the first game I ever played multiplayer was a game of CTF at Chicka's house. _______________ © |
